CNBC's Harwood: Eastwood Speech 'Big Blunder, Big Set-Back For Romney'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 09/08/2012 7:10:40 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Guess John Harwood was feeling lucky today. CNBC's chief Washington correspondent went on the Today show and boldly proclaimed that not only did Clint Eastwood not accomplish his mission with his RNC speech, but that the speech is almost universally viewed by political professionals as "a big blunder, a big set-back for Mitt Romney."

Harwood did not adduce a scintilla of evidence in support of his contention that the speech hurt Romney. And his universe of pundits apparently does not include people like Jonah Goldberg or Mark Steyn.

Eastwood's stunt opened the door for the great national mocking of Prez Hussein.

Either he doesn’t get it yet, or he is pretending to not get it.

I take heart in the fact that the liberal media are reduced to “wishful thinking” reporting.

While simultaneously viewed by the voting public as frickin' awesome.

And I know whose opinion I put more stock in.

Harwood is obviously a member of the “Choom Gang” .... smoking something that has destroyed a large number of brain cells.

A week and a half after the event, and they are still obsessing about it. Flint is brilliant!

almost universally viewed by political professionals

These are the same "professionals" that thought the Tea Party would amount to nothing and Occupy would be the great new political movement.

They obviously get paid too much for their "professional" opinions.

Much like the Fantasy Football Leagues, Democrats’ own Fantasy Politics League is enthusiastic, avid and doesn’t accomplish a damned thing...

the speech is almost universally viewed by political professionals as "a big blunder, a big set-back for Mitt Romney."

Of course, "political professionals" comprise about .02% of all voters. And even of that .02%, perceived blunders don't change their candidate preference anyway.
