Did anyone else hear Debbie Wasserman Schultz loudly say 'I' just before Giffords launched into her rousing Pledge of Allegiance last night?
They should have had her husband there but I think Obama cut his job as an astronaut at NASA or sent him someplace on a “Muslim Outreach” program
I wonder why she resigned her office? There have been a lot of severely disabled politicians (we had one Congress critter here in Indiana - Julia Carson) who stayed in until they passed away.
Essentially nobody is willing to run against them because that is seen as “nasty”.

When Giffords missed an "and" i saw got a brief panicked look on DWS.
I won't fault DWS for helping Giffords even if she was happy to use Giffords as a prop, her husband made it clear this is something Giffords has wanted to do for many months. Enabling that, however politically expedient, was probably the most humane thing we'll eve see out of the "vile," 'despicable," 'unladylike' DWS.
DWS was acting as a human teleprompter for Giffords.
How sad that Giffords is letting herself be played like a puppet-—Her husband has to step in & protect her better, IMO.
Same for Caroline Kennedy.
The ‘news’ is she kept her seat until she had 5 years in Congress to get all the benefits. I have seen several of her appearances and it does not seem that she can think properly. NOT SLAMMING HER. At the end of the Sawyer interview, Diane asked Kelly what he wanted in the future. He said that he would like for Gabby to be able to speak in sentences. He didn’t sugarcoat the situation then.
So what? Sometimes they set up these things. Timing is important. Not a big deal.

IMO, this subject gets an automatic pass. I thought that it was great that she showed up.
It’s a damned shame, that no matter how she tries or how much we even collectively try to help, she is just not going to be the same because of that nut.
I will never understand where this type of crime committed against her is somehow not “as bad” as murder, in the eyes of the law.
The embarrassment is on multiple levels...Gabby is being used as a prop by the Democrats.
Also, it is laughable that DWS has allegiance to the flag. Same goes for most of the kooks in that room.
Her husband supposedly wants to run for higher office someday...the way he has allowed his wife to be used as a football does not speak well.
The day before Gabby was shot she was interviewed on FOX News. I don't remember what she was asked but...from her comments, I thought she was a Republican. I had never heard of her before that interview and the next morning...
It was about reducing Congrssional pay.
