Did DWS Prompt Giffords?

Did anyone else hear Debbie Wasserman Schultz loudly say 'I' just before Giffords launched into her rousing Pledge of Allegiance last night?

I feel very badly for Giffords for all she has been through. When I heard DWS loudly say 'I', I was embarrassed. The Dems will squeeze every ounce of sympathy out of the situation.

You cannot hear it on every playing of the moment. But I have definitely heard DWS voice clearly start off the Pledge.

Posting as another example of the phoniness of the Left. Trivial but fits the template.

I didn't see it. Did Giffords not know how to start or did she just need to be prompted when to start because of crowd noise? Having someone prompt "I..." would be a lot less distracting than saying "Start now!".

So you’re saying DWS said “I” to deepen the degree of sympathy from the audience and that Giffords didn’t really need the help? If so, that’s sick. Typically DemonRAT.

Considering the circumstance, glad to see Giffords there.

Giffords is just another Hollywood prop to the Dems. Shameful!

Yes I heard it. Sometimes people with brain trauma need a cue. What is your problem with that?

I do agree they use people for effect though.

Well I will give the democrats a slight amount of credit, they managed to put Giffords out there in a relatively tactful way. I figured they would try to make her stumble through a prime-time speech on gun control, or “republican extremism” or something else to milk the tragedy for political gain. Which tends to be they're standard operating procedure of not letting any incident go to waste (see Sandra Fluke).

Glad to see Gabby make an appearance. Probably took a lot of courage. Looks like she is progressing in a positive way.

Giffords ain’t right and she ain’t gonna be right for awhile. Poor thing. to be expected of course.

BUT....

..that won’t stop the Dems from rolling her out on a cart if need be if there’s a chance it would further their poltical agenda

If DWS helped Giffords, it was a nice thing to do. One could tell Giffords was so proud to say the pledge. Many parts of her body are not working right, very poor gait, a swinging motion to get her legs to move, her arms/hands are at grotesque angles, and her speech is greatly affected, but she did that pledge. Her joy after saying it was like a little girl who did a fun thing.

Yep.
Giffords has become a prop.. a puppet for them.

Trot her out and help her say things, so sad.

Play that sympathy card, do.

My problem was having DWS appear with her. It made Giffords look like a stage prop. If they were smart (they aren't) they should have had her husband up there with her instead. Giffords and her husband are the ones battling through her recovery every day. DWS is probably one of the most polarizing figures in politics.

I've never met him, but Capt. Kelly's rep (along with his brother's) in Naval Aviation are great.

No person should have to suffer the injury that was inflicted on Gabby and I respect and admire her courage in dealing with this physical tragedy ..... but she's still an active Democrat so there's no sympathy for her from me on that front.

Agree. I was not slamming Giffords. I just think it is shameful the way the Dems use her. I know she was proud to be able to say the Pledge. But it did seem she was unknowingly being used.
