Who is going to make anything Obama does or does not do like 'Watergate'? You must be very young, because what made Watergate was the visceral hate of Nixon by liberals and the charity wing of the democrat party .... the media.

What have the liberals been running for reelection on over the past year? OccupyWallStreet... that was all set up to necklace around Romney's neck. BainCapital, 1%, and the rest of that story is described in what tax rate Romney paid his taxes.

I have no clue if their plans will work, but the objective of liberals is to win this election by demonizing wealth accumulation and those 1%.

You are missing something here which should be obvious.

Anyone can in 10 minutes fake a tax return using basic tax prep software. The only way these can be verified as accurate are by the IRS, which would not comment on them or by Romney who is far to savvy to fall for something as obvious as this.

EXCEPT ... on the profit side. During Bush the Younger, and a price spike, Exxon made $11 billion in profit in an above average quarter. Certainly a tidy sum ... on revenues of $450 billion (annual), which is under 10%. And of course, not every quarter is a great quarter.

This year was a good one for ExxonMobil. They made $41 billion in profit. I wonder when we will hear about it.

I don’t think attacking profits is what the dems want to do right now. It would fit RR narrative about attacking success - which dems have been trying to fight back furiously.

They are doing well, with a Net Profit Margin (NPM) of 15.19%. That's above the average of 7.9% for the Major Integrated Oil & Gas industry.

In comparison, Apple Computer's NPM is 25.2%. I'm not trying to put Apple down -- I just think it's funny that the "Occupy Mom's Basement" folks complain about corporate profits, using their Mac's, iPads, and iPhones. :-)
