Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.
This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:
“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:
“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”

What is wrong with the DEMS and their always touting “hard work”? My Dad, a wise man, taught us to be smart, to look smart and let those who did not invest in themselves, do the “hard work”. Use your head and not your back!
Not having God in the Dem Party platform is no surprise to me. They take the separation of God FROM State at their peril.

Was there ever a more concise and accurate description of our country today, and especially the Democrat party?

I think the rest of Chapter 1 of Romans is appropriate:

They have to be relegated to a status where they can do the rest of us no harm.
So the Democrat platform is omitting God.
Perhaps St. Elijah the Thunderer will be visiting their convention on the day that obama speaks.

Isaiah 1 is pretty good. It talks about them praying and worshiping, only He doesn’t listen to them, for they do vile and repulsive things, and call them part of God. He says: I don’t know you.

The Democrats neither believe in God-given talent, nor God-given rights. If you don’t believe in God-given rights of man, the constitution is meaningless and we are left with all rights emanating from the state.
This is the problem that we ran into with Justice Roberts. He obviously doesn’t believe in God-given rights, which also negates the check and balance system as laid out in the constitution.
They should change their name to the Reprobate Party.
