Election 2012: America Will Never Be the Same - if Obama wins and free to pursue his inner Che
The American Spectator ^ | August 31, 2012 | Peter Ferrara

The world is dynamic rather than static, so constantly thinking ahead is the key to understanding. Recognize now that on the morning after the election, whatever the result, America will never be the same. The results themselves will have wrought basic, fundamental change for the body politic. That inevitability underlines and highlights what you should be doing now to influence those results.

Karl Marx's Last Stand

The wildly overconfident Left is least attuned to what is at stake for them. If Barack Obama is routed this fall as he should be, it will be worse for the left-wing neo-Marxist views he represents than if he had never been elected at all. For then the voters will have seen what he is offering and rejected it.

.......The last four years have been a coming out party for the Democrats. For over a hundred years now, Progressivism, a polite, Americanized term for Marxism, has been infiltrating and taking over the Democrat party, the national media, academia, the courts. But until now they have effectively hidden what they are all about. Under Obama, however, the heart and soul of the party has been let out of the closet and revealed (only for those paying attention, however, not the millions who so stubbornly still are not). And that heart and soul is Che.

Having attended Harvard College and Harvard Law School, I saw all of this first hand. I saw all those prep school Marxists pledging to each other life long fealty to the worldwide socialist revolution, and going on to pose as "liberal" reporters and commentators, "liberal" environmentalists plotting the destruction of capitalism and its middle class prosperity from within, "liberal" candidates moderated just enough to get elected............

We have the little ones but also some that get up to about 2.5 inches. If its like the SW the little ones sting worse than the big ones. I get about ten a year inside, live, dead, or trapped. Most are small but not all. They come right through slab to foundation joints in some cases.

I am told that to have zero since the subgrade wasn’t pre-treated we would have to treat to a level that we wouldn’t desire.

We built new in 2001 and pre treated the back highwall (house is built into a hillside,) under the slab and around the foundation. Clean pea gravel is in the fill under the slab and contains the thermal tubes for the heated floor.

The builder said this would be an invitation to critters so the area was thoroughly bombed with insecticide. A pair of 4 inch pvc pipes carry rain water from the back hillside around the house, exiting on the other side of the front driveway.

Good design. This small place was built in the 90s. I bought it to use when I was building at the Fort. We still come down here a lot.

As bad as its going to be, i do believe he will win reelection...

That pessimism escapes me. Obama's support is collapsing. Bill Galston, a Clintonista, analyzed two recent Gallup and Pew polls on the first link. He calls a tie. IMHO, Gallup and Pew polls are skewed to the left.

We just need to win. Overcoming the cheating that going to be done in black inner city neighborhoods will be tricky enough without having to worry about a ‘huge difference’...

Unfortunately, the solution must go deeper than simply replacing this arrogant ideologue. The present and future abuses of the Obama presidency are only manifestations of a national government which began expanding far beyond its original constitutional bounds long before Barack H. Obama came to the White House. At the foundation of the federal leviathan is Supreme Court decisions since 1937 which have stripped away the Constitution’s limits on federal power. We can only hope to be permanently free of this or future administrations of its ilk when we restore the original limits on the national government. Given how entrenched that Supreme Court jurisprudence is, and the leftist judges Obama has already appointed, this can only be done by constitutional amendments restating those original constitutional understandings. See http://www.timelyrenewed.com.
