President Obama To Receive Honorary Green Beret, Induction Into Special Forces Association

Fort Bragg, NC – The White House Press Office announced today that President Obama will soon be inducted into the Special Forces Association and receive an honorary Green Beret.

Officials have said the honor will be bestowed in an upcoming September 11th ceremony at Fort Bragg.

The honorary beret comes in recognition of the President’s decisive role in covert operations throughout the world during his term — including the killing of Osama bin Laden last year in Pakistan, and his combat action in Afghanistan months ago.

I was so disgusted by the blurb that I couldn’t even consider clicking through to the whole thing. My son is at Ft. Bragg and although I’m on the other side of the world, that earthquake I would feel would be his reaction if this were true.

In my defense, I remember our Dear Leader receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for his potential of doing something or other. So, don't laugh if Our Dear Leader does receive a SEAL’s Trident come December 2012. : )

Agreed. In this age of malware and viruses,etc., I understand the wisdom of avoiding unknown website. We have our computers loaded with multi-layers of firewall, virus, spyware/malware protection, so I am fairly intrepid in my internet journeying ;)

At first I was like...OH-MY-GAWD!!!!!WHAT THE FUDGE!!!!

Then I was like....maybe this is the only way to get a dagger close to Obama, and maybe they’d give it to him...hmmm...how do I say this without getting a visit from some suits......hmmmm....personally. (BTW, suits, if you are reading this, I DO NOT advocate the assasination of our duly elected President.)

Then I went and read the whole article and realized it was humor. In fact I’ve been reading and enjoying the sites other satire articles. There’s a LOT of funny stuff on that site. I’ve also been forwarding them to my son who is in the Army and I’m sure will enjoy them even more.
