China's state-controlled media lashed out at GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney Monday, warning that his policies would poison U.S.-China relations.
"By any standard, the U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's China policy, as outlined on his official campaign website, is an outdated manifestation of a Cold War mentality," read a commentary in Monday's China Daily. "It endorses the China threat' theory and focuses on containing China's rise in the Asia-Pacific through bolstering the robust U.S. military presence in the region."
The Chinese state-owned outlet said that Romney was "provoking" China by promising to supply Taiwan with aircraft and other military platforms and called his China approach "pugnacious."

China’s complaining = Romney’s China policy must be good for the US.
If we stop “buying Chinese” by even 25% their economy tanks and they know it!
There’s no honor among dog eaters.
If the Red Chinese love Barry Hussein and hate Mitt, I’d have to say that Mitt is my man. This is just more proof that Barry is a communist. The communists hated President Reagan too. The communists in this country still do.
Ringing endorsement for Mitt in my book.
More than enough reason to vote for Romney.
I guess if China hates him, it is a good thing to vote for him over the facist.
We have our own commies in America to worry about. Let alone Chinas.
“provoking” works for me. A sharp stick in the occasional commie eye is going to keep them honest. I expect they’d respond by cutting their exports to the USA ( insert snicker). Loading Taiwan up with enough horsepower to melt down the entire Chineez coastline is a good way to keep the neighbor in his own yard. The Chicoms use their own CCTV9 to let us know about their unhappiness-—that’s their English channel-—and they talk English a lot when they have a bellyache.
Precisely. I would make beating China economically one of the top five goals of the US. I would favor trade with nations that most closely share our political and cultural identity, and would work hard to position the US as the world leader in the production of ‘quality’ and ‘safe’ products, including the highest quality pharmaceuticals and medical devices, higher-end clothing, safe and high-quality foods, the safest children's toys, etc. etc.
We can't out-compete the world market on the basis of lower labor costs, unless we decimate our standard of living, but we can out-compete in terms of quality. We should have the economic equivalent to the Apollo program - with the goal that within a decade a specific percentage of American products will be accepted as the highest quality in the world. People will spend more if the quality justifies it.
China hates Romney. Sissy Matthews hates Romney. Maher hates Romney. Ahmadinejad hates Romney. Ron Paul does not fully endorse Romney. Huckabee hates Romney. Axelrod hates Romney.
Palin supports Romney. Newt supports Romney. Steyn supports Romney. Rush supports Romney. Sowell supports Romney.
The Commies will feel it where it hurts.
Maybe I am splitting hairs.
However, do they actually “support” Romney or do they support republicanism/conservativism/the party?
Do they support Romney or do they mostly support defeating obbammie the commie?
Osama bin Laden tried this tactic against Bush. It wound up backfiring on him.
“We can’t out-compete the world market on the basis of lower labor costs, unless we decimate our standard of living,”
Not so. Destroy the unions here and prices go WAY down.
Yes, actually we can. The traditional American solution to high labor costs is increased automation and innovation, something the labor unions will destroy a plant over.
Destroy the unions, deport the illegals, roll back the insane EPA enviro regs, watch automation/innovation grow and the American economy flourish.
