“Suspicion arises that the people pocketing the money for no-show jobs rebated a portion of the proceeds to a certain state Senator Huntley. When they are called before a grand jury and explain their role in return for lenient treatment, Mrs. Huntley can expect to be arrested. Anything else I can clear up for you? See, that’s how these things work. She doesn’t just give away no show state jobs any more than the Governor of Illinois appoints you a Senator for nuttin. Get it?”

Wow. Didn’t realize they were no-show jobs,they should also investigate the Governor.

Receiving remuneration in return for an official favor, even a recommendation, is a crime.
