BS, and you know that.

Akin is dumb as a rock, if he wanted to persuade people he could have said the child conceived by rape is an innocent victim and needs not to die, but no, Akin had to go into the magic uterus theory.

And you proved my point....Akin is being forced out because of his conservative pro-life beliefs, and not some ignorant comment

You would run out the guy who made the “trees cause more pollution than factories” comment....

All the whining Goppers need to just leave Akin alone...if your Mitt can’t beat the Obamaoid w/o demonizing Akin he can’t win.

A local talk radio host said this morning that he had talked to some MO GOP insiders, and they said Akin was dropping out. I wasn’t sure then, but this news conference makes me more confident his information was correct. This was after the latest MO poll broke this morning.

The whole thing is silly but it is what is. Akin was clumsy in his statements and derailed the whole abortion debate. He caused more harm than good. If he wants to talk about abortion go after the problem. Rape induced abortion ain’t it. “Birth control” abortions is most of it - probably 99 percent. Go after that or late term abortions where obama is most vulnerable. We need warriors who can be effective and not implode. Akin is a good man but too clumsy for that job. He also poorly handled the aftermath and seems more interested in his pride than the greater good. If abortion is his “crusade” he can forget it now. No one will listen to him.

Having said that they better have a plan on who to replace him with.

You are delusional, Saint Todd Akin made a huge mistake. He will lose to McCaskill.

Correction: He said “sources” not “GOP insiders”.

The news reports are conflicted, will he stay will he go.

If he goes there will be trouble, but if he stays it will be double.

Akin apologized. He has stated he was misinformed. That is alot more than alot of our present “leaders” and representatives have done.

Maybe he’s going to announce that he’s gay, transsexual, or an illegal alien. At this point nothing could surprise me.

“He’s generated 150K in small donations in 48 hours.”

Around $100K , in a week, against a candidate who has $10 million in the bank, and he now faces being cut off from NRSC support because he is a non-viable candidate.

” Nearly 7K signatures on his petition.”
So he has a coterie of true-believers but a majority of Missouri voters say he should step aside and his fav/unfav ratings are 2 to 1 against.

” 18K likes on Facebook.”
Actually, I saw lots of people on sunday write horrible scathing things about Akin on his facebook page and preface it with “I cant believe I had to say I ‘like’ this guy to say this, but ...” so how many are real supporters and how many are libs coming over to mess with him. When you read the comments, you realize how much of a punching bag the democrats have made of him.

” Words of support from Congressmen”
LOL, lots of Congressmen privately and publicly are asking him to do the right thing and bow out.

“and grass roots leaders.”
Aside from a few so-con leaders, they are universally hoping he’d quit.

” I would be surprised if he withdrew.”
Then he has thrown way our chance at this Senate seat. A big loss and done for the selfish reason that he doesnt want to quit despite his huge blunder, because he might It would be a huge disappointment.

“We need firm resolve and conservative values in the Senate, and Akin possesses them both.”
Akin lacks the ability to persuade others to conservative principles and values. More appealing politicians like Ryan, Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Sen Johnson will have to carry the torch...

Whether Akin stays in and loses or quits, his future is not in the Senate.

“The Republicans may have negotiated to have their way after all.”
GOOD! Maybe we can win this seat from McCaskill after all.

Maybe he’ll take back his apology and say them wimmin can’t get pregnant during rape so they’s just a bunch of lyin whores and come out swinging.
his supporters will march to them ballot boxes and he’ll get 6%

All the local Missouri conservatives that visited Akin's website and donated their dollars, as little as $3 at a time, will find your quip as insulting as anything Akin has said. You firm their resolve and encourage Akin to stay in the race. Thank you.

Akin apologized. He has stated he was misinformed.

Yeah and shouldn't a perosn be concerned about a person, Akin, who put forth the magic uterus theory so confidently.

I saw the tape, he was confident in his assertions.
