Lubbock Co. Judge warns of potential danger if Obama is re-elected ("civil war maybe")
Fox 34 Lubbock ^ | 8/22/2012

Posted on 08/23/2012 2:43:01 AM PDT by markomalley

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich went into great detail Monday night on FOX 34 News @ Nine about why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year.

An across-the-board pay increase is needed for the attorneys on the DA's staff to keep them from being poached by higher-paying counties, and the sheriff needs to expand his staff by seven deputies to reduce call response times, minimize officer fatigue and reduce the turnaround time for investigations.

Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.

“He's going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,” Head asked.

“I'm thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

"Now what's going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He's going to send in U.N. troops. I don't want 'em in Lubbock County. OK. So I'm going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say 'you're not coming in here'.

"And the sheriff, I've already asked him, I said 'you gonna back me' he said, 'yeah, I'll back you'. Well, I don't want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me."

Whether you agree with the judge, or think his theories are unrealistic, the reality is a tax hike that will provide an additional $832,433 coupled with $2 million in cuts to make the numbers work.

You can sound off at two public hearings, Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Monday at 10a.m. Both hearings are at commissioner’s court.

County judge Head concerned with civil unrest if Obama re-elected

What began as a proposed property tax increase to expand the Sheriff’s Office and raise prosecutors’ pay turned into a political melee after Lubbock County Judge Tom Head’s remarks that the county must be prepared to deal with a civil uprising if President Barack Obama is re-elected.

Lubbock’s County Commissioners’ Court recently proposed a property tax increase of 1.7 percent from the current rate, on which the court will vote Sept. 10.

Head and County Commissioner Mark Heinrich appeared Tuesday night on a local television news broadcast to promote the tax increase, when the judge expressed concerns civil unrest of the worst proportions would break out if Obama wins a second term.

“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the U.N., and what is going to happen when that happens?” Head asked.

“I’m thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

“Now what’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops. I don’t want ’em in Lubbock County. OK. So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ‘you’re not coming in here’."

During Wednesday morning’s public hearing for the proposed tax hike at the Commissioners' Court, Head’s remarks were brought up by Sue Barrick, a research proposal editor at Texas Tech, when she asked what portion of the revenue from the tax increase would be used to “fund the eventuality of a civil war.”

Head said the comments he made during the interview were taken out of context and said his role as emergency management director requires him to be prepared for the “worst-case scenario.”

Head told The Avalanche-Journal after the Wednesday meeting the footage broadcast Tuesday night was a “snippet” of the whole interview and taken out of context.

“As emergency management director I have to think of the worst-case scenario, and I used that as an example,” Head said.

In his opinion, the judge explained, the worst-case scenario, politically and financially, is if Obama and the Senate Democrats stay in power.

“Does that mean that I think the U.N. is going to come rolling into Lubbock? No, that probably is not going to happen,” Head said.

As a response to people who argued the county judge used his personal opinions to make political decisions, Head said all public officials bring their value systems into office.

“I cannot divorce my theology and my philosophy from my office,” Head said. “I am pro-life, I’m pro-gun rights and if you’re gonna vote for me and if you’re not for gun rights, then you probably don’t want me in office.”

When a nation undergoes drastic econcomic collapse, factions will form and fight. The blacks have already begun fighting, attacking white people and white businesses at every turn and the press refuses to accurately report it.

The DOJ releases violent racist blacks like Shabazz:
Kill some crackers and some of their babies.

Yet, the Obama administration is preparing the military for war on white tea party folks.
For less than what you see in the above video, the feds arrested white folks who actually said nothing bad nor committed any crimes and held them in prison for two years.

Wake up people...

I don’t think he’s nutty. I’ve thought the same thing but never said it. The “Divider in Chief” will be unleashed in a second term without having to ever face another Election. I look for all hell to break loose.

If baraq wins, he will turn the govt against us. Dictators do that sort of thing.
If baraq loses, he will do the same as revenge for losing.

Be prepared.

He might very well be nutty, I don't really know. I guess it depends somewhat on your perspective. However, I have no trouble believing that there are a great number of Americans that are very nervous and very worried about what this president represents, what the democrat party has become, what they are doing, and what they would like to do to each and every one of us that are not onboard for a communist America.

Those that pay attention to what Barack Hussein Kardashian is doing, are very nervous about the future and what we as a nation might be pushed into, because of this so called president. He has done an immeasurable amount of damage to race relations and has boosted class/wealth envy to very dangerous levels, and is still pushing on all fronts. I can only hope that we are not already fractured beyond repair. It is like he is trying to establish tribal factions who are in continuous upheaval, like in many poor third world countries.

In a rational nation of collective Americans, he would be hanged for treason. I fear the amount of destruction he could bring to us as a nation, before he is stopped.

In the end, he will be the only president ever, to bring nothing but damage to this nation. Nothing else whatsoever.

1 test.
Didn’t work as you cannot put HTML into a tagline. That’s what I wanted to test... you cannot actually test your tagline without posting something.

Okay, first of all, the Headlines on this are wrong.

What the Judge is worried about is Obama ceding US sovereignty to the United Nations and We The People stopping that from happening. And that scenario is not so far fetched when one considers the treaties Obama wants and the opinions of his 'world view' justices. Added to Barry's outright disdain for the US Constitution and by the actions of the 'Just Us' Dept taken these past 3+ years.

The fact is that everyone in this administration are anti-American Subversives -- starting at the top. And there's a reason he's bypassed congress almost from day one. Inch by inch he's been testing how far he can go. So don't be surprised when he arbitrarily orders 'by regulation', all 'Assault Rifles' (open definition) be banned as a National Security Issue. Or as a Threat to Public Health, or to 'the Environment'.

He was serious as a heart attack when he said his goal was to:

"Fundamentally Transform America!"

*** you cannot actually test your tagline without posting something. ***

There is one way to test out a new tagline without actual Posting.

Open any thread, click Post Reply window, insert new tagline, click - 'Preview button'. That'll show you how your new tagline will look.

I use that method when a tagline I may want is longer than the tagline window. If it looks okay I'll copy it and insert it in the next thread I want to comment on.
(But yes, no HTML in taglines)

“Fundamentally” meaning “foundationally”.
He wants to rip up the foundations of this country.

1 Cor 3:11
For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Yes, he used political speech saturated with hysteria and panic in order to get a tax hike. Socialists of both political parties are doing the same--one side for fatter, over-regulating federal government, the other for fatter, over-regulating local government. Both are socialist and counterproductive. America should say, "No-vote! No sale! Starve the beast!"
