This year’s political season is yielding more than just heated debate in Atmore, including jail time for two women caught allegedly stealing campaign signs along Martin Luther King Avenue and Ashley Street Monday night.

Crenishia Antoinette Bosby, 24, of Fairhope, and Jawada Marquetta Bosby, 31, of Daphne, were taken into custody by Atmore police officers and agents with the 21st Judicial Drug Task force at approximately 8:45 p.m. after being pulled over on Ashley Street. The pair was also found with a 12-year-old minor and a .25 caliber handgun in the vehicle.

For the complete story on Monday night’s arrests, see the Wednesday, Aug. 22 edition of The Atmore Advance.

Hard to say.

Back in the day, when Old Ben was spending a lot of time in the Compton/South Central area, it was not uncommon for the more buxom local ladies to slip .25 Ravens under their brassieres.

I couldn’t help myself. I just laughed out loud in the middle of St. Arbucks when I read this story.

It reads like a skit on SNL

Just how many more examples of this before it is PC to attack the Amish?

Once again, the bell curve proves its point.

Just how much time are these Amish facing for election tampering (which it is even if the law does not say so) and theft?

Commission of crime with a child present would make for some serious charges were these water buffalos not part of Holder’s people.

A neighbor of mine (and a former City Council member too) was finally nailed for doing this when they set-up a video camera in a van parked on the street.

He got off on a technicality, becuase he said the signs were placed on City owned property (at a park).

He’s a Super-Lib, so I’m tempted to put up a Romney sign in my front yard, along with a camera, just to see if he tries to repeat his little shenanigan this year.

Two fat black welfare queens arrested by two white fat good old boy Rod Steiger look alikes.

They most likely be on the Gubmint payroll for not working. And the good old boys be on the Gubmint payroll for going after dangerous drug criminals but with nothing better to do than bust black fat welfare queens with nothing better to do than steal campaign signs.

As a taxpayer I see four people getting fat at my expense for doing NOTHING of value.

The biggest shock here is that there may have been Republican oriented campaign signs posted on Martin Luther King ave.

(yes, I know MLK was a Republican)

ya mean like in 2008 when the public hiway near my house had scores of zer0 lawn type signs stuck in the grass just off the shoulder and I had to pull on the shoulder to check my engine and ‘inadvertently’ ran over a couple of dozen of them????

those signs?

Hearing will be scheduled for after the election and the judge will dismiss the case because of budget cuts.

They must have been stealing Obama signs for their own use. Maybe for a snack?

LOL if these were Pubbie signs on a MLK street. That kind of visual is funnier than the sign-swiping caper.

Coulda been arrested just for those names alone... ;^)

Just kidding..., well sorta...

The identity of some people, that is derived from making up names to remind them of their heredity, baffles me. Are Crenisha and Jawanda really African names, or are they simply names made up that are different, not like the names of today’s evil White oppressors?

Rather comical really...

Allegedly?  What's in question here?  Is there a possibility those signs in the vehicle just climbed on board as the family drove past?

Okay, 93% completed.  Thanks for the help folks.  If you haven't already, please click below and pencil yourself in.

In the age of U-toob I never take the chance (not that I haven’t been tempted a time or two).

I’ve worked on sign campaigns for the last four election cycles. Because you’re out in the same environment as your opponents the chance of getting caught - just like these two broads did - is increased.

In 2010 I was working on a campaign to unseat a state senator. We had identified all the “good” spots to place signs and encountered the inevitable “signage warz” that happen when you plant a sign and your opponent puts one up immediately in front of it (or just rips yours down and puts theirs up).

In one location passersby had torn down ALL of them regardless of party and we had just arrived to set ours back up when the senator herself (along with her husband) stormed into the parking lot and accused us of doing the damage. Fortunately I had photo-documented the scene showing everybody’s signs down - including ours - and invited the senator to kiss my ass.

Ultimately we documented HER HUSBAND damaging signs and won the election.

I for one think that the Democrats may be losing a big piece of the black vote, and they can't see it coming. Gay marriage and immigration doesn't sit well with blacks. They still will win the majority of the black vote, but the Dems are in for a surprise when they see how that majority has shrunk. Also a lot of blacks are planning on sitting out this year, which is the first step to switching parties for good.

I just clean up after the miscreants.

Why would a newspaper post a story, then state you can read the rest of this in 2 days? Weird...

Using rubber gloves, crush several leaves of poison ivey between your palms. Smear both faces of the sign.
