This currently looks like it will be a minor hurricane, which would not affect people inside the convention building, but will make it impossible for the Occupy crowd to be on the streets demonstrating against anything (and will blow away any tent compounds they may try to erect).

The best case scenario that I can imagine is rain with a bunch of drenched reporters and protesters with their tents blowing away, lead by Joe Biden looking like a wet cat.

This storm doesn’t look too serious. But enough to call off the RNC for evacuation efforts. The mayor was on the local news saying that safety trumps politics. I will be watching this in the days to come. Today? Im a minor league prepper heading to the store.
