Vice President Joe Biden will be in Tampa during the Republican National Convention, a campaign official confirms.
"Next week, on Monday, August 27 and Tuesday, August 28, Vice President Joe Biden will travel to the Tampa area and other cities for campaign events," an Obama campaign official tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD. "Additional details on the Vice President’s trip are forthcoming."
The Republican National Convention will run from August 27-30 in Tampa.
The Drudge Report first reported the news that Biden would be in Tampa at the same time as the Republican convention.

They want to stir up a riot in Tampa while the RNC convention goes on. They will stop at nothing.
We need to do the same in NC. Romney needs to be there the day of the Obama speech. This is pure bullcrap.

I don’t understand how the US government (that would be us)can be paying for what is essentially a campaign activity.
I thought even a sitting president or other official wasn’t allowed to use government funds (Secret Service, travel, etc.) to campaign. But I guess it’s different if you’re a Dem.
Joe's speeches get more votes for the GOP than the ones our candidates give. The man is a gaffe-a-minute.
Actually, it's a great idea. She could create a huge Conservative rally as a civilian, and thus no one could give her any crap for doing so.

I heard Rush saying something recently about an idea someone had given him. He said it would be a very good idea for Paul Ryan to show up everywhere Obama was speaking, just afterward, to refute everything Obama had said, especially about Medicare. I suspect the Obama team thought this was a good idea and decided to start at the convention. Unfortunately, they sent Biden, who seems to help the Republicans more than anything.
Biden coming to Tampa during the RNC reminds of when Gore walked over and stood next to Bush when Bush was answering a question during the debates. All done to try and rattle him. The Zero campaign just wants to take away some of the headlines from the Repubs (what narcissists!), and know the liberal “news” media will accommodate them.

Most of the time the opposing parties are courteous enough to stay away from the others convention site.
I guess this shows the desperation the Democrats have.
If this actually happens, it’s pretty much guaranteed slow Joe will screw something up, and even the MSM will have to report it.
As Republicans/Conservatives, we should always be the ones open to hearing opposing views and opinions.
What a phenomenal opportunity this presents! The RNC should formally invite the Vice President to address the convention in a prime-time slot.
The only stipulation being that he do so without a teleprompter or written speech/notes of any kind.

How will Joe’s motorcade and security affect the people going to the Republican convention? When these bozos come here they shut down traffic in various areas and tie up traffic for mile and miles and miles.

The GOP should offer 50 bucks to everyone who gives Rimshot a “wedgie” (or a Dependie in Rimshot’s case) in Tampa.
I can understand people’s anxiety/anger over this. But the man is a doormat. A certifiable moron, ad infinitum. Who cares where he goes. He’ll only draw a couple of hundred folks at best, if he’s lucky, on a good day.
Hopefully, he’ll have a rally outside someplace when the hurricane sweeps thru town. He’ll blame it on Bush.

Except for the real granite heads, every time Biden opens his mouth he pushes more voters into the Republican camp. Did the RNC invite him?
