Sounds good to me. Of course with the corruption in Detroit (etc.) they could break the law, not pay taxes, not fix up the house(s), simply be a blight on society and nobody would say a thing. Come to think of it, that describes Detroit. So this probably is not a good tactic.

i guess the South Bronx would qualify then too...Aside from the complete abject stupidity of Bloomberg’s statement, the logistics of keeping illegals sequestered to a particular city would require high security like fences, guard towers, and check points. In effect, Bloomberg is proposing that we turn a burned out husk of a city into a really big concentration camp.
Immigrants alien to our culture and more expensive to assimilate, from southern parts of the world, can stay in New Yuk. After the remainder of the default/correction process, New Yuk will be worse than Detroit. A country cannot continue with leadership in business, politics and academia by politically favored, anti-American, sociopath-administered NGOs.
