This “storm” can’t be weathered. Press won’t allow it. He needs to drop out now!! Akin is an a-hole!

GOP needs to pull the rug out. Tell him to take a hike.
I can’t even imagine what other stupid things this guy is going to say before the election.

at least two senators have.

I'm sure Romney is happy to have a conservative he can continue to try and make into his Sister Solijah.

This also takes the starch out of the Biden “back in chains” comments.

The stupid president was just asked about this in press room. He was asked if he thought all republicans thought like akin. No Akin needs to go. This is ridiculous. Put Steelman in.

Two sitting senators have called for you to get out. I don’t know how much more national you can get.

If Todd Akin loses this November he has nobody else to blame but Todd Akin.

He is a selfish a-wipe.
He will now lose what was an easy pick up to Claire McCaskill, the most vulnerable Dem.
Jerk!

No way he is going to step aside. He is a professional politician. He is not qualified for any real occupation.

Brown said in a written statement that “as a husband and father of two young women, I found Todd Akins comments about women and rape outrageous, inappropriate and wrong.” There is no place in our public discourse for this type of offensive thinking. Not only should he apologize, but I believe Rep. Akins statement was so far out of bounds that he should resign the nomination for U.S. Senate in Missouri.

To: dalebert
what a selfish choice he made. What is selfish is Romney and his pitiful supports piling on Akin and making it harder, if not impossible, for him to win.
Romney and his ilk are a cancer.

He should just change to the Democrat party and this will evaporate like the smell of a subway toilet

I guess his pride was more important than his state or the nation. Now we will get to hear about this “legitimate rape” sh*t all the way to November. I wonder how many downticket candidates and candidates in other states this jerk just did in with his big mouth?

Geez, don't think much, huh? Those who wouldn't vote for him because they are liberal Democrats still won't vote for him, so that makes no difference at all. And Republicans who won't vote for him--well, let's just say that there are Republicans who are a bit challenged when it comes to defending their interests in a tight race for big stakes. They need to grow a pair and enter the fray. Many Democrats have said far more egregious things than this possible misstatement of medical fact. The only reason it "resonates" is because it's attacking the sacrament of liberalism: child sacrifice via abortion.

It is way past time for a Republican to show some apine and refuse to quit. A quit is a loss and I bet he will still win. You don’t ever win by quitting. Democrats never quit, just look at Biden.
