Going South to be in better climes......and better taxes.......and nicer people.............

...avoid the mob tax in IL.
If you love big government, stay out of Texas!
Getting closer to your customer is a good strategy but getting away from the confiscatory Peoples Social Republic of Illinois is a nice side benefit.
You can't fool the Laffer curve.
It gets you every time.
And the exodus from Chicago Values continues....
Sounds like pipe makers are serious about the energy biz.
Chicago, not to worry. Many pipe smokers will be moving into downtown.
I guess they got tired of “Chicago Values” /s
I bet Texas will turn blue in the next decade. With all these companies moving to Texas from the north, they will be bringing their employers with them (most of them anyway). That is why you are seeing a slow shift in the mid-west to red states and the south will be turning blue. However, we cannot allow Texas to turn blue without California or New York turning red.
Maybe they didn’t get the special tax discount some of the other Illinois industries received.
I know that governor Hair has been working on this sort of thing for awhile now and has been fairly successful. I know Cat is thinking about expanding more into Texas from Peoria,( they moved some manufacturing down here awhile back), but the big cherry, the kahuna, the big mambo would be the CME. I know it’s impossible, but just think about the CME making noises that they aren’t happy with the mob tax in Ill. Ill is terrible for business and Chicago is the worst, but just imagine CME telling they plan to relocate in Dallas or Houston. It would save them tens of millions if not hundreds of millions in taxes. You know they have got to think about things like that when the numbers get that big. Besides taking a bullet on your lunch break with no carry law. I wonder if Santelli would come with them if they decided to move?
Retired from Alaska to Houston! Love the town!

I have lived many places but I can tell you Texas is my home and always will be..When we came back from our last tour of duty there was a little change,we could tell the Yankee democrats were moving in..My husband is from NJ and he never wanted to go back there not even to visit..
I suspect the business friendly environment in Texas played a role as well.
