I believe these principles of our Constitution can be advanced by politicians with a liberal record who are weak enough in the spinal region that they will be swayed by the demands of a public ravenous for conservative reform.
Especially when the liberal politician picks a conservative running mate.

Well over half of the FR posters will vote for Romney/Ryan.
I expect FR and the Conservatives in Congress to help keep President Romney in line, after the election.
It is entirely possible to support Romney/Ryan and still be, very much, the type of person that Jim is tell us this site was designed to serve.
Just a simple question. Can those of us who support the R&R able to state our opinions?
Almost all of us do NOT like Romney...however, Paul Ryan is a Tea Party member.
We believe he can not only thrust Romney into the center, but to the right, which is where our country belongs. We all know from 2008 and 2010, it will take a few elections to rid ourselves of all commies, marxists and RINOs.

It amazes me when conservatives act like liberals and bad mouth people with whom they disagree. If someone wants to vote for Romney, have at it. But don’t slander others who aren’t voting for him. Especially on that person’s website. That’s the same as coming into my home and telling me what to do.

Well said. I don't agree with my fellow conservatives who plan to vote Romney/Ryan. I don't agree with their reasons for doing so, but I do understand them, and I'm not going to excoriate them for their choice in four years if I'm right about Romney. And for their sake, I really hope that I'm wrong.
As someone who skims those threads, I can assure you that the “bad mouth people with whom they disagree” approach goes both ways with equal fervor.
