Palin will not speak at Republican convention
WASHINGTON | Sun Aug 12, 2012 7:36pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will not speak at the Republican nominating convention in Tampa later this month, she said in statement on Sunday.

"This year is a good opportunity for other voices to speak at the convention and I'm excited to hear them," Palin, who was Senator John McCain's running mate in the 2008 election, said in a statement on Gretawire, the blog of Fox News's Greta Van Susteren.

Sarah needs to have her own big fund raiser in an auditorium, maybe with Glenn Beck. Then she can invite Romney, Ryan to speak before a HUGH crowd of thousands of real conservatives. They will have to start appealing to the conservative crowd and that would be something to watch. This is what our side has to do. You notice how the NAACP, LaRaza and other liberal groups invite everybody to speak before their big get togethers. That is a subtle way of putting pressure on the guest. Conservatives should start using this technique, it is a way of flexing political muscles as the guest is on the inviting groups home turf and is at a disadvantage. Conservatives have to use power more effectively.

For what it's worth dept.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement he was "disappointed" Palin won't make it.

"Gov. Palin has been a force in our party and while I am disappointed she won't be in Tampa I know she will continue to be actively engaged in replacing Barack Obama," he said.

I would be surprised is Sarah isn’t a total class act. Doubt we will know the truth tonight. All I know is that Mitt fans on Twitter are slamming Sarah because ‘she didn’t endorse Mitt, or use his name, so she hasn’t earned Mitt’s respect.’

I slammed a few Mitt Bots. I think we are all being played by Mitt/Rove/GOP just like we have been this whole primary.

I bet a cheeseburger she and Bush were persuaded to stay away from the GOP-e big top. If Palin wants to stay in the club, she needs to go along.

Sarah Palin should have a huge gathering Glenn Beck style and show the RINOS the power of the other Republicans—the real patriots.

The same anti-Palin rant over and over and over from you. You are a bore and she is the exact opposite! She didn’t disappoint her supporters, she still has them. YOU have NONE!

Greta is not on here on the East coast either. Update on the Twitter stuff: BIG TIME slamming of Palin by Mitt people. There is no doubt they want her marginalized.

Palin will not speak at Republican convention

I can't think of anything more stupid for the GOP than to not allow Palin to speak.

Sarah's absence as a speaker will be glaringly apparent. Bad decision.

I don't see the upside.

Oh, I have supporters. Two of them as a matter of fact. One I wear to the gym, and the other in the wash. And trust me, I don’t let them down.

You guys will follow her into the ground. Unless she runs for something, and actually does something for the country, she will be taking tickets at a booth far from the washroom at Dollywood.

Gotta’ save room for real Republicans. Like Joe Lieberman.

Wonder how many Doles will speak.

Thanks for the quote.

"As I've repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box" -- Sarah Palin

They can’t have her outshining their candidate now, can they? I wonder if Hannity will have her in the booth. Even better, have here there when they cover the RAT convention!

and actually does something for the country,

you mean like initiate same sex marriage which you prefer, d*^khead?

Liberalism is dirt - that's in the ground where the maggot romney keeps his supporters and itching to take Obama's spot at his turn to bring America down to.

You are taking tickets for Romney's Evilwood - where Romney appears as the Great Deceiver.

I called this a few weeks back. - romney is right on schedule. He knows he bought his support and lied to get where he is - Palin can't be bought and honest to the core and Americans know it. The closer to the convention, the more trashing of her. There is NO ONE lower than the snake in the grass romney.

Thanks for the update!!

Just try to imagine Sarah coming to the podium and 20 minutes of pandemonium ensues, and when Romney takes the stage polite applause. Lets just get rid of the idiot in chief and we can support Palin later. No one energizes the crowd like Palin,.......nobody!

Right now, she is just on the sidelines.

BTW, IMHO, Ryan will get more than Romney when he takes the stage.

What makes you think Romney would offer her a cabinet position when he wont even permit her to speak at convention???

You need to look at all that Gov Palin has done for the Conservative cause before you start spewing your crapola
