(CNSNews.com) - Thanks to an Obamacare regulation that took effect on Aug. 1, health care plans in Oregon will now be required to provide free sterilizations to 15- year-old girls even if the parents of those girls do not consent to the procedure.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius finalized the regulation earlier this year.
It says that all health care plans in the United States--except those provided by actual houses of worship organized under the section of the Internal Revenue Code reserved for churches per se--must provide coverage, without cost-sharing, for sterilizations and all Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptives to “all women with reproductive capacity.”

My only daughter has blessed me with 3 wonderful grandchildren. Had ANYONE sterilized my daughter at age 15, without my knowledge and permission, I flat guarantee that I would be in prison, at the very least.
I cannot see too many 15year old girls signing up to be voluntarly sterilised, but that isn’t the point really.

Just a logical progression, in the culture of death. For a good many years, now, minor child in public school can be provided with a condom, or a morning after pill, or can even be taken to an abortion clinic for an abortion, without parental consent. But if she should develop a headache, they need parental consent to give her an aspirin. That shows where their priorities are.
And she'll have to get a ride or take the bus.
The point is that Sibelius and the Democrats want all of America to be complicit in their sins. They are like the Mafia. You can only become a ‘made’ member once you earned your ‘bones’. Only those that have done the ultimate deed.
There is something about the State of Oregon which is troublesome to Obama and it appears he is seeking to destroy the reproductive capability of the state so that it can be taken over by people of another demographic.
You can also be sure that Obama will institute a program by which women across the nation, or at least in Red States, will be Surreptitiously Sterilized by some kind or medication, public drinking water or secret radio waves.
You might be surprised at how many 15-year-olds succumb (temporarily, at least) to peer pressure when it comes to crazy liberal fads. They think it makes them sound intellectual. They are tools.

As a high school teacher, yeah, I could if the girl has gotten a little bit of information and a whole lot of problems. It's a short-sighted solution which might seem good at the moment.

OF COURSE she shouldn't need her parents' consent - since the parents would know that she IS sexually active (or soon will be).
You were right to mention "peer pressure" - girls are pushed by their peers to experience sex. The media glories in it. If the fear of pregnancy were eliminated, many more girls would succumb to the pressure, I'm sure.
I guess this is how libs define "freedom" now - the right to sleep around with whoever suits you, without consequences. This would be an important step toward the liberal paradise...

And many children are not able to fathom what the word ‘future’ really means, so some Sebelius character could say, ‘have this procedure and you don’t have to worry about getting pregnant’ without the child fully comprehending what their future would never hold for them.
But then again, it is ok for our children-unable to truly give informed consent- to be sterilized yet, it considered a crime against humanity for black women to have been sterilized without their consent?
