In a Saturday morning appearance on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to the announcement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s running mate choice, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.
Krauthammer said that the choice changed the race by shifting it from a referendum on Obama to an idea-driven race powered by the young, “Kennedy-esque” Ryan.
“I think the picture sort of changes the dynamics of the race,” Krauthammer said. “Up until now it was Romney running as the guy who could do a better job — ‘I know how to fix the economy. The other guy is a failure.’ But it was a star-led choice, he’s a better technocrat. When you look at the two there are two things different than Ryan’s presence on the platform. The first is youth. I mean, he’s the future. He has a youthful look. If you like Kennedy-esque boyish enthusiasm and energy.”

Ryan is a great pick! I saw Romney’s campaign speech on Fox News a few minutes ago, finally saw some fire in his belly. If Ryan is the spark plug to this campaign we finally have real hope in taking this country back
The liberal media is already hacking away at Paul Ryan.
Candy Crowley said this Republican ticket is a “death wish ticket”.
He’s derided as a polarizing figure. He’s the father of the Ryan budget and all that.
It sounds like some liberals are happy, thinking that Ryan is such an extremist, that “middle America” would reject the Romney-Ryan ticket in droves.
But, with liberals so concentrated in certain places, they often don’t realize that the conventional wisdom of the Upper West Side is not the conventional wisdom in many other places.

I have noticed the 0bots are mostly nowhere to be found on the net today, just a few MSM hacks taking swipes. I think the Ryan choice has really floored the White Hut cabal, and that makes this a good day for me!
Candy. Can you think of a better name for a mainstream media talking face? Candy. Her name summarizes what the MSM daily hands out to Americans better than anything I can think of. And in only 5 letters. Candy. And of course as she speaks to her viewer(s) - c’mon, be charitable, she might have several dozen of them - the irony of her “death wish” remark is entirely lost on her. Candy. If she were not a she, I would say, what a putz. Candy.

Lets compare and contrast when all is said and done.
Lets see how the GOP treats/defends Ryan compared to Palin.
Trust me, you’ll be sick. Either Ryan will have a “golden parachute of defenders” or he’ll become “scapegoat part 2”.

I definitely saw more fire in the belly of Romney today and your right, Romney needs to express Conservative views, hopefully with Ryan at his side the boring Romney will disappear and the Romney who wants to WIN will come out. We will see how it plays out, as long as we dont hear from Romney that “We dont have to fear an Obama Presidency” we will be fine. I was never a Romney fan but I am a definite fan of the Ryan pick so its a step in the right direction
When is the last time that they actually picked a Conservative to head the ticket?
The RINOS need to be flushed down the drain so that we can get our country back with a winning ticket.
Praying that Ryan will be enough this time, to send the Kenyan back to where he belongs & get him out of our White House.
Will Ryan being VP and the obamacare mandates be enough to get a majority of RC's to vote for Romney? I know biden is RC, but he's not a consideration for Pres., whereas Ryan is young, dynamic and the intellectual leader of the conservative wing of the Pub party.
If a majority of RC's vote for Romney/Ryan it will probably swing the election.
