I was thinking more of abortion.

This is where people who call Catholicism a cult are proven to be dopes. Sure, the pope says it a sin. And lots of the Catholics I described do it anyway. Or support it. Or are agnostic about it. Or are just silent about it.

But THAT goes beyond being Catholic. People of all and no creeds have had abortions. Not all have had their wakeup call about it, and don't have the conviction to condemn it without necessarily condemning themselves.

I know a husband and wife, married forever, Catholic: she refused to vote for obama, he voted for obama. I'll never forget the look of heartbreak and disbelief on her face when she told me that.

The Great Divider. But don't think God hasn't appointed him to do just that.
