A retired Army Colonel and an Associate Professor at Kansas University published a white paper on the future use of the US Military to quell a "Tea Party Insurrection". The left is foaming at the mouth at the thought of using the military to eliminate dissent. Colonel drank the Kool Aid. In his scenario, immediately assumes that the President replacing Obama and stopping the drunken sailor “stimulus” spending is going to make the economy worse. Add associating the Tea Party with terrorists.

Interesting that the Army would plan on interjecting itself into a local issue that would be best handled by state police or state Guard. I wonder if someone isn’t looking for an *excuse* to impose martial law and military rule.
I met a retired Army officer a little while back, and he had the exact opposite view.
We are now living in our military’s latest war arena. We are in a war on terror and American-Americans are the new terrorists.
The constitution and small government is seen as our dangerous doctrine. And our doctrine is dangerous to DOD’s ever growing budget at a time of ever growing deficits. We are a danger to supporting the expansion the US military’s war to include American territory, targeting American-Americans for US military defeat.
This makes sense to the freakoids somehow.

It sure does. Constitutional Government cuts off the Federal Teat...and the libs access to the Federal Treasury. That, to them, is the very definition of insurrection.
Before I make any comment about the author of the Small Wars posting I goggled him.
While is bio is somewhat interesting I find it significant that he has no experience in small wars. A tanker serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom on the staff doesn’t equate, IMHO, to significant work at this level of conflict.

10 years operational experience at the squadron and wing level in AFSOC. DFC. Plus an additional 19 plus years working at a contractor in support of AFSOC including 7 years dealing with weapons and tactics issues, and almost 12 years in flight testing and evaluations.
Could it happen? maybe. But I think that the Col’s “illustrative scenario” to use the approved DOD terminology for what he proposes is off target.
I sat here reading this document, stunned with it’s implications and to whom it paints as the enemy of the republic.
The Tea Party, the most well ordered, patriotic political group in the nation.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I so fear for our nation. Political malfeasance and correctness, downright lies and racism are shaping our future, which appears to be a bloody and violent one if we continue on this path.
