Obamas war on meat continues with new school lunch requirements.
President Obamas legacy may be that he successfully forced schoolchildren to eat less meat and more vegetables.
The school lunch regulations championed by his administration, and in particular First Lady Michelle Obama, take effect next month and they have schools and parents scrambling.
Not scrambling eggs, of course too much cholesterol.
The implementation of the regulations comes on the heels of his Department of Agriculture being shamed into repealing a Meatless Mondays program in its employee cafeterias a program that has already grown roots in government schools.
As parents, we try to prepare decent meals, limit how much junk food our kids eat, and ensure they have a reasonably balanced diet, said First Lady Michelle Obama in a USDA press release.
And when were putting in all that effort the last thing we want is for our hard work to be undone each day in the school cafeteria. When we send our kids to school, we expect that they wont be eating the kind of fatty, salty, sugary foods that we try to keep them from eating at home. We want the food they get at school to be the same kind of food we would serve at our own kitchen tables, she said.
So those fatty, salty things like hamburgers will become smaller. Unless, of course, theyre black bean burgers.
And students can expect to see bigger portions of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Gone are hot dogs. In is whole wheat spaghetti! Good bye bean and cheese burrito. Hello cantaloupe wedges and green pepper strips!
Obamas USDA is creating a nation of vegetarians, by regulation. Take that cattle ranchers!
But have no fear: Were told the regulations dont apply to brown bag lunches.
Yeah, tell that to the mother of a North Carolina four-year-old who last February received her daughters lunch back unopened, with a bill enclosed for $1.25.
That was because the lunch didnt meet the requirements of the bureaucrat who inspected it and forced the four-year-old to eat the school lunch.
School lunches are the latest way for the experts to tell parents how to live their lives and educate their children. Of course, these are the same experts who are overseeing school systems with multi-million dollar deficits, pitiful graduation rates and students unprepared for higher education.
But at least theyre safe from the deadly hamburger.
I had to check to make sure this wasn’t satire.
Moochelle says “we parents” want our kids to eat at school what they eat at home. Apparently she doesn’t know her base. How ‘bout some collard greens cooked with pork fat? And, by the way, I cook lots of things with pork fat.
Instead of telling people what to feed their children, why don’t they check on all of the obese people with obese children that are on welfare. This country has the fattest poverty stricken people I’ve ever seen!!
Obama lunch rules? Don’t get between Michelle and the table.
Lard is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
Nothing like some good cracklin'!
School cafeteria food is already nauseating enough. Hot dog day was the only good day. And they would watch as you scraped your plate to make sure you weren’t throwing stuff away. Gag.
Really. Parents paying more so their kids can chunk it. Gotta put it on their plate, but can't make them eat it. YET.
They can do anything they want to them. A simple sunburn can now be considered destruction of government property.

If our nation is getting too fat , wouldn't it make sense to cut back a little on the food stamp program? Instead of giving the freeloaders anything they WANT, why not just give them only what they NEED?
That's right. We do. So, mind your own business, and stay the hell away from our kids.
Mmmmmm, chicharones. Delicious in any language.
Based on the foods she is pushing, she wants to force our kids into a high carb diet, which is exactly what is making them fat. Proteins, i.e. meat, hamburgers and, yes, even hot dogs, do not make people fat. Carbs i.e. "whole wheat grains", legumes and fruits do.
A couple of extended family members who work in schools tell me the amount of cafeteria waste is absolutely shameful. As in it could feed a small third-world country every day. And if the kids aren’t eating it now what will happen when the menu is Obamaized?
His legacy will be that that of a racist black president, period. Of course, there will always be inevitable comparisions to Jimmy Carter but Obama too will be considered the worst president as well. Racist and Failure. Now that was more than they hoped they change.
Too little protein in those lunches and too many carbohydrates. The kids are starved for protein needed to build muscle, and they are drowsy from being loaded up with carbs. Terrible diet for kids.
BTTT
he may be against beef (and of course, pork) but watch for delicious dog-meat on your local cafeteria menu, really soon!
(come to think on it, maybe he was around when we were served “mystery meat” in school???????????????????????????????? we always wondered what kind of animal that came from!?)
“A couple of extended family members who work in schools tell me the amount of cafeteria waste is absolutely shameful.”
That’s because the welfare kids don’t want the healthy meals. They just want the dessert. They have to keep their diabetes up.
“Terrible diet for kids.”
They’re trying to keep the masses dumb so they can control them and they’ll buy the propaganda of the elites. Didn’t Moosechelle just eat a 1500+ calorie meal at a Shake Shack? For me but not for thee.
I like to eat things cooked with pork fat. Its called seasoning and it doesn't really add a lot of calories because it doesn't take much to get the job done..
The tricky thing is resisting the urge to go back for seconds.
Carbs....mmmmmmm. But I’ve got to cut some out!
