Joseph Smith wept. WTF kind of namby-pamby comeback is that!??!
Try, "Reid, you're a liar!"
Then when Reid inevitably says, "Did you call me a liar?"
The proper response is,
"I did not! I am calling you a goddam liar, and a senile drooling old fool to boot!"
"By the way, I am also calling you and your son crooks."
“Reid is not saying he illegally paid no taxes but that he used legal loopholes to avoid paying them.”
*************************************************************
Why are you trying to advance this falsehood? The only effluvia I’ve heard vomiting forth from Reid’s mouth was this Huffington Post Headline:
“Harry Reid: Bain Investor Told Me That Mitt Romney ‘Didn’t Pay Any Taxes For 10 Years’”
Why try to advance your reasoning why “it could be true”? The fact is that Reid made the whole thing up out of whole cloth! Don’t be gullible and accept as a premise that he actually heard this. If you do, you’ve fallen into their trap.
No seriously... Do you have proof or are you Bearing False Witness???
What Romney did with his personal money as a private citizen is none of Dirty Harry’s business. Let’s look at what BO is doing with our money instead. I could care less about Romney’s taxes as most, I would imagine, feel the same.
Reid’s accusation makes no sense at all, simply because Romney has no reason to discuss his personal tax returns with a Bain investor and a Bain investor would have no reason to ask about Romney’s personal tax returns. Romney’s tax returns are entirely his personal business, and his personal business would never be a subject for discussion with Bain investors. That kind of detailed personal business just isn’t discussed ever in the corporate world. In all the years I’ve worked in the corporate world, I’ve never heard anyone ever talk about how much income tax they paid. Bain Capital’s corporate income statements and tax payments, on the other hand, would be a valid subject of discussion with investors. But Reid’s accusation simply make no sense and I don’t believe a world of it.
There’s no attention to detail required. All they need to do is determine if Mitt had actually filed his taxes over that period to know if Reed is lying or not.
And if you don’t think this White House has given orders for the IRS to give special scrutiny to political opponents over the past four years, it’s you who dosn’t understand what he’s talking about.
HF
Maybe it it time for the IRS to review Reid’s taxes!!
