Advice from a Physician: How to Avoid Obamacare
Economic Policy Journal ^ | August 4, 2012 | Robert Wenzel

Posted on 08/07/2012 10:39:09 AM PDT by arthurus

Medical care is going to get worse under Obamacare. Robert S. Dotson, M.D. tells us why:

As income reductions are being imposed on private practice, costs are being driven up by exploding regulations. In addition, the plethora of new mandates and laws have increasingly criminalized every aspect of the practice of medicine and created vast new armies of armed bureaucrats whose sole aim is to impose civil and criminal penalties on any provider unlucky enough to be singled out for attention...

New restrictions, rules, and regulations on healthcare – on providers and patients alike – have imposed legal constraints with which full compliance is impossible. Medicare rules and regs alone fill tens of thousands of pages, and ignorance of any of them is no defense for the unlucky. The original HIPAA legislation has been amplified with many additions since its inception in 1996:

I guess if one were aborted he might avoid it — well, no, I guess not. Damn, he’s got us surrounded.

I have stopped taking new Medicare patients and I have released most of my Medicare patients. However, because I am in an independent physician network that requires all providers to be enrolled in Medicare, I must still must technically continue as a Medicare provider.
Medicare soon will impose electronic records costs and compliance is costly. But the really bad thing about Medicare is the regulatory environment which basically adopts the Stalinist maxim “ Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime”
Eventually, as is being proposed in MA, providers will be ‘forced’ to accept government insured patients as a condition of licensure. Of course, this is ludicrous as most medicine is elective, and physicians will do little for patients when they are being subjected to governemnt coercion. There is another Soviet maxim for this situation: “You pretend to pay and we’ll pretend to work”.
I would recommend that people read ‘Cancer Ward’ by Aleksander Solzhenitsyn to get a real insight into socialized medicine.

You would know better than I do but even before this was signed into law it has been my opinion that, if implemented, 0bamaCare will utterly destroy modern medicine.

That and save up money to be able to go offshore is what it comes to. I believe there are international health insurance companies, though.

You forgot 3. Die Quickly.

Who’dathunk Alan Grayson was correct about something (though obviously not the way he meant).

A Christian ministry, at least the one I checked still requires the paid services of a doctor. Obamacare chains up ALL the doctors. They are allowed to do what the bureaucrats tell them they can do.

“I have stopped taking new Medicare patients and I have released most of my Medicare patients. However, because I am in an independent physician network that requires all providers to be enrolled in Medicare, I must still must technically continue as a Medicare provider.”

Won’t your network (or the govt) require you to take Medicare patients if you’re technically a Medicare provider?

They cant make you take new medicare patients (you state your medicare panel is full). Any medicare patients you currently see, you have to charge medicare for at the set rate, but it is legal for you to release (fire) your medicare patients until you have very few medicare patients.

As long as the patient is not in an urgent/emergent situation and you provide referrals to other equally qualified physicians there is no case of patient abandonment.

Wrong!

It definitely does cut it, to the core.

If you eat only real food, from life sources, it is impossible to become ill.

This is the key to long life, and to greater freedom from tyranny. If you are healthy, you cannot be victimized by the ‘health’ industry, because you won’t need their insane “treatments.”

Eschew all drugs, and especially vaccines, which only invade your body with foreign organisms, and destroy your immune system.
