I took a class in Logic in college. Day 1, Rule 1: “The onus of proof is upon he who asserts the positive.”
In other words, it’s up to the one making the statement to prove that it’s true. The burden of proof is not upon someone to prove the original statement false.
It’s the exact way our criminal code reads: Innocent until proven guilty.

Parts of Romney’s tax records will be leaked by the IRS in September or October. The uproar on what is leaked will serve as yet another distraction from Obama. It won’t matter releases the rest of them or not, the media will use the the leaked parts to build the narrative for the administration.
Jail for the leaker? Never happen, the source will be hailed in the media a truth seekers.
That said, no one wants the returns out any more than the talking heads and the news manufacturers. How many countless hours could they screech at one another about line this and line that? Might as well just let them screech about not having the returns.
Isn’t the object of the whole tax game to pay as little as possible?
I am a nobody, don’t have a trust fund and don’t do million dollar deals weekly- and even-I-little ole me-looks for ways to pay as LITTLE as possible.
If he can get away with paying nothing, then he needs to teach the rest of us his tricks; I actually applaud his efforts. Companies that get huge tax breaks and lobby, are a different animal. But a Mass. millionaire? I hold no ill will against a fellow capitalist trying to hang on to his money-it is HIS money-not Washington’s.
And your right-if someone knows this to be a fact and has peeked at his records or stuck them in their pants and left the building, THEY need to be looked at not Romney.
