If Texas Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison and Colorado Democratic Sen. Mark Udall have their way, rain will go away come again some other day of their choosing. Both Hutchison and Udall have introduced unsuccessful bills in the past that would have created national boards to oversee and fund research into weather modification. That is, artificially changing or controlling the weather. “I … am very supportive of and concerned about weather prediction and modification,” Hutchison said at an appropriations hearing in 2011. “And I think we need to know more basic science, and we also need to — to use that to determine if we should or should not engage in weather modification.”

Why are you surprised?

These people will propose anything because they have an unlimited budget — your money and mine.

If they had to spend their own money, they would (probably) make wiser and more careful decisions.

Instead of trying to control the weather, Democrats need to practice controlling themselves. So far insanity prevails.

If the govt has been controlling the weather, I can’t think of a better way to screw it up.

The only way to control the weather is to control El Niño/La Niña, which would involve controlling the temperature of the Pacifica Ocean.

I guess there must be a thermostat somewhere that only they know about.

Doesn't Karl Rove already have a weather machine. Why not just call him?

They must be talking about or referencing seeding programs but other than that, these idiots better wake up and realize that they cannot control the weather, per se’ and so to speak.

That’s true. But it doesn’t mean that these people can’t have a God complex. Many of them do and that is the real problem.

Is Texas Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison really that stupid? If she starts talking about Curiosity cruising over to see the Apollo 11 decent stage we'll know it's something in DC water that makes them Leftist and retarded.

Besides, Karl Rove already used all the Dylithium crystals when he created Katrina...

This program should be expanded to research into how to roll back the tides. They could call it the Canute amendment.

This is why I propose strict term limits that cannot be changed under ANY circumstances. Hutchison is already self-eliminating and, after November, will not be back in the Senate. Udall meeds to be taken out - along with all of the other irresponsible crooks in Washington who refuse to spend taxpayer money as though it were coming out of their pocket!!
