Dump damn Romney at the convention NOW!!!!! This is getting silly seeing FREEPERS slobbering over Romney when in truth he does not deserve the perpetual praise from FREEPERS. Get rid of the liberal piece of crap ROMNEY before it is too late!!!!!! I have been here since 1995 and NEVER IMPLORED FREEPERS to do anything, but I implore you to do what is right before it is too late. We have every right to demand a conservative at the convention!!!!!!!!!

Hey — if you wanted a nominee who'd inch out on the highwire to answer any question put to him, you should have nominated Newt.

Yep.

Sounds like a bunch of excuses for not dealing with Social Conservative issues of note or consequence.

This is so typical of Leftwingtards ~ in both parties ~ and no Mittbots, Romney's silence doesn't endear him to anybody. If anything, it just serves to suppress the Republican vote more and lead even more people to believe Mitt doesn't want to win.

We still have a chance for a candidate who wants to beat Obama. Best Mitt step aside and let the Convention do its work

Not shocked. Not surprised. Long ago I knew Romney was weak. He doesn’t take stands supporting conservative core beliefs. Having said that, I will eat that crap sandwich just to get Obama out of office and deal with Romney at a later date. The goal is to unseat Obama and rid Washington of his minions.

From the Examiner link:
During the press conference, Romney was asked whether the Chick-fil-A controversy – or the controversy about Huma Abedin’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood – should be part of the national conversation.
“Those are not things that’s not part of my campaign.” he answered shortly, after explaining that he wasn’t in the business of telling people what to talk about.

So constitutional freedoms and national security are "not part of [his] campaign? Very reassuring . . .

“Not a word from the president of the United States in defense of a business owner’s right to hold the political views he prefers without fear of government retribution?”

***

I suspect Obie is staying out of the fray because his handlers know his position on gay marriage has gone over like a lead balloon with those who supported him in 2008 and those who are on the fence. Besides, he’s busy campaigning, golfing and spending taxpayer money .

(Romney Chick-fil-A: That’s not something that’s part of my campaign)
The 1st Amendment is not a part of your campaign?
Jobs are not a part of your campaign? Democrat Mayors across America were telling a thriving business concern that they would not allow it into their cities thus denying citizens job opportunities?
I was just about convinced I needed to vote for you. You better get a clue and real soon!

The media is using every distraction to cover Obama’s a$$ and refuse to cover the real issues, jobs and economy.
Failure to ensue.

It’s a question everyone’s asking: who will be Mitt Romney’s VP? There’s no telling when that answer might come. But when it does, be the first to find out and access exclusive content with the Mitt’s VP app.

No way should any Presidential candidate touch this issue. This is a private business and the people handled the situation. There is absolutely no reason an current or potential leader of the Federal Government should insert themselves her. Anyone who thinks they should must love big government.

Or else you are a totally ignorant of the limits of the Federal government. I am surprised that people here or FreeRepublic think Romney should go there and that not going there proves he is a libtard. I think it is exactly the opposite.

Let's think people. Use out intelligence. Stop being reactionary. understand the importance of Chick Fil A is that the people took action.

WE DON"T REQUIRE GOVERNMENT AT ANY LEVEL TO GET INVOLVED IN THIS.

“It isn’t the right thing to do and it isn’t what America stands for,” Bloomberg said on his weekly WOR radio show."

But dictating what size of soft drink a person can buy, denying them the right to defend themselves with a gun, telling them they can't smoke in their own home, and on and on and on IS OK?

If our Founding Fathers where around they would have already hung his ass.

Unbelievably gutless and stupid. Given the sheer magnitude of the support for the restaurant and its message, it is monumentally ignorant to forgo the opportunity to voice support for the right side of the argument. Could have easily claimed it was a First Amendment issue and veered away from the traditional marriage versus homo cultural infestation angle; it seems obvious that he is listening to bad advice from the gutless, moderate pandering, middle-of-the-road, so-called RNC “advisors”. I am still voting for Romney over Sparky the wonder prez, but this is another reason why we will we need staunch conservatives in the House and Senate to ensure Mitt's “inner libtard” is not allowed to impact future legislation.

Good! I’m sick and tired of Obama (or any other President) weighing in on every crack-pot leftist cause de jure. And make no mistake, this whole Chick-fil-a thing is just another leftist-press generated brouhaha. I applaud Romney for not becoming another Obama in this regard. Presidential attention to this kind of leftist BS is exactly what the leftists and leftist press are trying to gen up. Ignore this crap and it will go away. These issues exist only because the leftist press choose to make them exist in the first place. Romney doesn’t need to aid and abet them by getting sucked in to their need for attention.

Presidents should focus on the really big issues, like the economy, taxation, national defense, defense of our borders, and enforcing federal law, and not on the homosexual agenda.

Romney is smart in what he is doing, namely restoring gravitas to the Presidency and ignoring the leftist homosexual agenda.

They would have accused him of using it for political purposes and would probably been partially right. The Chick-Fil-A moment is best relished for what it is...a moment when the right stood up and said enough is enough....there will be plenty of times for politicians to score points!!!

Probably gonna get slammed for this, but...

I honestly think it was a good idea for Romney not to associate with the protesters.

And here's why. If Romney came out in favor of them, you know what the media would do? They'd tack Romney on the front of every single Chik-fil-a news story. “The Romney-backed protesters,” “supporters of Governor Romney filled the restaurants,” and so on.

The protests wouldn't be about standing up to leftist bullying any more. They'd be cemented in the public eye as nothing but a political stunt during an election year, and things wouldn't change at all. But because Romney's NOT talking about it, it's not political. It's a grassroots movement telling the tyrants that we're not going to be good little peons.

Buuuut I imagine no one’s going to care about what I say, just because they hate Romney so much and will take every chance to slam him.

Obama ducks too

So as long as obama does it - it's OK with the liberal set, Mitt's supporters. Mitt has NO LEADERSHIP skills - where NEWT and SARAH are born leaders!

Romney is a curse on America and is/was on Barry, his blood brother.

Where did same sex marriage in MA come from - ROMNEY! So all his supporters are faggots.
