A kiss-in at the Chick-fil-A on Central Expressway near Lovers Lane in Dallas on Friday afternoon did not seem to keep chicken lovers away.
Supporters of same-sex marriage are planning demonstrations in response to Wednesday's "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day." Facebook postings by organizers call for people to stage "kiss-ins" at Chick-fil-A restaurants at 7 p.m. Friday night.
Hundreds of thousands of Texans jammed Chick-fil-As to show support for the company's president, who said in an interview that the company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family."
The kiss-in at the Central Expressway Chick-fil-A began at about noon lasted until about 5 p.m.
Around a dozen demonstrators were equipped with mouthwash, breath freshener and posters, but there was hardly any kissing.
At lunchtime Friday, half a dozen Dallas police officers were at the Central Expressway store and ordered demonstrators to stay off the restaurant property.

I knew it. Tens of people inundated CFLa to protest. It’s a national epidemic!!
Well, I’ve been here at the Irving, TX Chick-Fil-A for most of this hour.
No protestors, no kissing, just a bunch of families eating dinner.
If 12 protestors was all that could be mounted at the CFA closest to the ‘gay’ part of town, they’re in trouble.
Also, my chargrilled chicken club sandwich was delicious as usual. CFA is a lot more than just *fried* chicken. It is also a shame that I cannot take this delicious lemonade with me on my motorcycle.
It’s all about sex for the homofascists. Everything about their lives revolves around who they kiss and where they put their private parts.
Can you imagine a bunch of heterosexuals kissing in front of a homosexual bar in protest?
Here in L.A of course our homo loving media couldn’t wait to have this “protest” as their top story(They hardly even mentioned the Appreciation Day event on Wednesday) WOW the gays came out in force today, I noticed on TV, TEN, yes TEN people protesting outside the Chick-Fil-A..WOW what a protest

Also, before some idiot DUer pops up with a “I bet all the families are white” comment, it’s very mixed. Several black and latino families along with a few Asian in addition to the slight majority of white folks.

There are a few points to be made, but overall, and I’m far from the first to say it, if the puublic sat and thought what homosexuality ‘was’ and entailed, there would be almost no support for it.
Take away the sex and you have two really close friends.
People have to stop shying away from the reality of what makes a homosexual a homosexual-the sex. It’s not a forlorn multicolored-hair emo kid texting his ‘boyfriend’. It’s not two women at a cafe overlooking the ocean sunset sharing a coffee. It’s not two male model types with the top down cruising PCH.
It’s a deadly choice that involves a lot of repulsive sex acts.
Period.
And what other 2% gets special rights based on the sex they have? BDSM? Foot fetishists? There’s plenty of straights with sexual kinks outside straight missionary sex. None of them demand special rights and tax breaks for it.
Nor does it often result in their death.
Lastly, homos need to publicly be made to explain the whole ‘chickenhawk thing. Let them shove THAT in the face of the public and see how much support they get.
Here in Phoenix the news covered them at 5 and at 6. The “crowd” grew from around a dozen to almost 30. Some of the group were even uniformed Phoenix Police officers! There is a sweet group of supporters, middle aged grays, just down the sidewalk from them holding some signs of their own.
I wish we had one in our area, but the closest is over an hour away. And not where we would normally go.

On the one hand you have CFA being able to show that their sales for the day of the "eat in" were record breaking.
On the other hand you have...a few pictures and hype.
Hand out a flyer with the e-mail addresses of their bosses?

Good for the Dallas police chief and the Dallas police department. I’m somewhat surprised, but then again - it’s Texas where America and the Constitution are still revered! Kudos to Texas and the Dallas Police Department!
