House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) again would not say on Thursday whether the Republican-controlled House of Representatives he leads would provide the Obama administration with money to implement a regulation that Boehner himself has called an "attack on religious freedom."
The regulation, which took effect on Wednesday, requires health-care plans to provide coverage, without cost-sharing, for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs.
The Catholic Church has condemned the regulation as an "unjust and illegal mandate" that would violate the First Amendment right to free exercise of religion for Catholic workers, business owners and institutions by forcing them to buy and/or provide health care plans that violate the teachings of the Catholic faith...

Boner has to go - Bachmann for Speaker in 2013.
Yes, we demand a stupid and futile gesture!
“Repeal John Boehner as Speaker” needs to be a required campaign promise of any conservative running for Congress in 2012.
More than 40 Catholic institution and business owners have filed suit against the HHS regulation, arguing it violates the First Amendment. American Orthodox bishops, Jewish, and Protestant leaders have also criticized the regulation.
See, a federal court issued an injunction to stop implementation of the CA Constitutional amendment, passed by the legislature and the people, stating that marriage is between a man and a women.
Another Court hearing this bold faced assault on religious freedom, issued on the whim of a single cabinet secretary, totally outside the legislative process, will do nothing.
Ameritopia.
Agreed.
Dear GOP,
Please replace this spineless jellyfish with Michelle Bachmann.
Thank you.
Boehner is still caught. Reid has refused to even permit budget hearings in the senate for FOUR YEARS NOW, demanding that the House must pass continuing resolutions (at the same rate as the last bloated Bush budget), or it will be “their fault” if the government is shut down.
And Reid knows that if the Republicans do shut down the government, the MSM will launch a gigantic blitzkrieg attack on them for doing it, now just before the election.
The bottom line is that if Boehner waits until the election, it is likely that the Republicans will control both the House and the Senate, and then they can nuke a huge amount of the government.
But until then, he is stalemated.
Can anyone answer my questions? Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do??????
Yeah, I do.
Channel George Washington? Not a bad idea really.
Boehner and O must have had a REALLY good time on that golf course...
Town Hall's and calls to the local offices are all I know to do, anymore...since no one in DC really gives a flip what I think =(
Another reason to get somebody else to replace him. If the man's caught between a rock and a hard place and because of that is forced to put politics ahead of the nation HE NEEDS TO GO.
BWAHAHAHHA...*pant, wheeze* (breath) HAhahahahha (holds sides). I don’t care who you are, that’s some funny stuff right there!
Spineless cry-baby, waiting for the pounce. He’s ‘reached across the aisle’ EVERY SINGLE TIME he’s had the upper hand. He’s a Chamberlain, and should be booted out ASAP.
” Boner has to go - Bachmann for Speaker in 2013.”
YES!
Boehner: “ Let me cry on this for a while”
Just so I am crystal clear on this...
“This” is the GOP that’s going to rein in Romney when he goes full lib? “This” is the GOP that refused to defend against the enemy. What is the likelyhood that they will tell the leader of their party “NO”?
I’d also like to point out something else. All the Freepers who claim that we must abandon our principles to elect Mitt Romney...THIS is what you get when you abandon principle. So not one of you ABO types should bitch. “THIS” is what you want. Bohner and the rest abandoned theirs and here in naked glory is the result.
So tell me again why abandoning ours is for the ‘good’ of the country. You can’t have it both ways folks.
Id also like to point out something else. All the Freepers who claim that we must abandon our principles to elect Mitt Romney...THIS is what you get when you abandon principle. So not one of you ABO types should bitch.
I am one of those ABO voters and you do make very good points. Especially about Boehner being the GOP who is supposed to move Romney to the right and keep him there. Very good points! I cannot argue with you there.
As for Obama, at this point I'd vote for Al Gore over him. Problem with Obama is, he's not just a liberal. He's not just slightly socialist. He's not a liberal who sincerely wishes and thinks he knows what's best for this nation.
Obama hates the United States of America and his goal is to tear us down and the US Constitution with it.
This is not a typical election year where we have democrat vs republican, liberal vs conservative and if the GOP gives us another RINO then we can just teach the GOP a lesson and accept another 4 years of a democrat such as Bill Clinton (And believe me I did that before. I REFUSED to vote 1996. I stayed home. And I do not regret it.
But this time it's not a democrat vs republican. It's socialism vs America and its Constitution.
It's not Obama against Romney.
It's Obama against us (you and me)
I cannot stay home this time because if the wrong man wins I'm leaving this country.
IF I owned a company, I would have closed the doors Tuesday night for the last time & made sure that all my employees knew exactly why:
I refuse to be told what benefits I will provide- especially when many of them are against my beliefs.
Math fact:
IF there are 50 million women of child bearing age in the USA who would be eligible for contraceptives & those contraceptives cost about $25 per month, the annual cost to insurance companies would be $1,500,000,000 === that is 1 1/2 BILLION dollars annually!!!
What is next? I should pay for her Tampax? Kotex? Midol? Monistat? Teeth Whitening? Mouthwash?? Where is the end of this Nanny state mentality???
If a woman cannot afford $300 per year out of her own pocket to support her promiscous life style, then she doesn’t need to be on my payroll.
That's easier said then done. Most (if not all) of those owners use their companies as their primary source of income to support their families. It's their livelyhood. It's their living and resources to provide the basic necessities for themselves, their spouse and children.
People don't open businesses to provide jobs for those needing them.
