In a previous thread it was noted that his CV, bio and contact info were removed from the UA website during the day, I believe after he got canned from his CFO job.

Adam Smith held an appointment as an Adjunct Lecturer

That seems pretty clear to me, held is past tense.

If anything turns up different UA will have some tough questions to answer.

So long Adam Smith, you better be filling out a lot of resumes.

He looks a tad like Keith Olbermann, maybe Current TV hasn’t filled the position yet. Same attitude though.

ABC news (or some MSM group) will likely pick him up as an investigative reporter now..........

I sure wouldn't argue against your point, it seems likely.

Maybe he shouldn’t have been fired from his jobs

As a company officer (Chief Financial Officer) he damn sure better have been fired after pulling a stunt like that and publicizing it.

It reflects on the company and puts the value of the company at risk. It also shows poor judgement on his part.

Do you want someone showing poor judgement as CFO in a company that you have invested your retirement in?

If he had been working on the loading dock, it wouldn't have mattered so much.

It’s like you said earlier, they’re still scrubbing him off their website...

Click his pic and name, it’s just like you said. The poofter has gone poof!

They don’t want anything to do with him.

poor Adam ..now he can collect unemployment for the next three years and then Congress will extend it some more, then he can file for social security disability and claim mental stress, or he is unable to read, and is learning disabled...people like him will figure out someway to get assistance and let us not forget he will be able to get food stamps or what ever that program obama wants ALL American to be on at the end of his second term...

WE MUST VOTE OBAMA OUT COME NOV.6.

This was really a waste of my time but I couldn’t resist looking up what Eller College listed as their core values and considering how Adam M Smith performed to those values:

http://finance.eller.arizona.edu/undergraduate/values.asp

Core Values
After concentrated discussions with recruiters of finance majors and finance alumni, finance major core values have been identified. These core values are the attributes that key focus groups acknowledge as critical to the success of finance professionals.
Those core values are communication, diligence, responsibility, critical thinking, and technical proficiency.

Communication
• Use of technological tools – Adam M. Smith was fairly proficient filming himself and capturing his own demise on video.
• Written communication skills – Oddly enough, he documented his credentials sufficiently to ensure quick follow up feedback from many sources.
• Oral communication skills – The guerilla warfare approach was a bit rough. He tended to dominate the discussion – almost like he didn’t want to hear the other party’s response. His vocal clarity was adequate but he seemed to struggle a bit on his issues. Then he almost forgot to assert his self-imagined sexual orientation.
• Effective business presentation skills – He started the interaction by declaring victory by claiming the extracted and “costly free water” and then moved to demand a change in corporate policy from non-management employee. I don’t think he had the right audience for his delivery.
• Professionalism – He seemed to be lacking a bit here…
Diligence
• Work with enthusiasm – Adam was pretty excited about his mission.
• Follow instructions – He explained what he was about to do and then followed through. Nicely done.
• Complete assigned tasks – He got his free water & severely damaged Chick-fil-A’s business by extracting a costly Styrofoam cup & filtered tap water with ice. He also slowed down the drive through lane by about a minute thus reducing CFA’s revenue stream during their biggest record-breaking sales day.
• Continuously improve – I’m wondering what Adam M. Smith has in mind for CFA for tomorrow.
• Exceed expectations – I’m guessing that the swift actions by both Vante, Inc. & Eller College within hours of his posting far exceeded his own expectations.
Responsibility
• Understand professional responsibilities – By being kicked to the curb by both Vante & Eller College I suspect that he’s going to learn a lot about personal responsibilities.
• Understand and adhere to ethical responsibilities – Probably could use some remedial training in this area.
Critical Thinking
• Decision making – Adam M. Smith made a crisp decision that got quick results. He may be reconsidering that particular decision.
• Analytical skills – Adam M. Smith may have missed this step in the process. After filming his little tirade you’d think he’d recognize that this was not a good video take.
• Identify, formulate and solve problems – Adam M. Smith identified a problem about which he was passionate and then formulated an effective approach to solving it. It just didn’t work out real well for him.
• Systems approach to information flow
• Group problem-solving skills – Adam M. Smith is sure to find himself at home with that DemonRat political group that is currently in the throes of trying to solve the problem of how to get n0bama re-elected. They’re currently taking a stab at inserting “gay marriage” into their party’s platform. Go for it!
Technical Proficiency
• Ability to use techniques, skills and modern financial tools in practice – Since this exchange was for a free water there was no evidence of any use of modern financial tools.
• Knowledge of contemporary issues – Adam does seem to know a particular hot button of a contemporary issue.
• Manage financial information – That water was certainly free and he clearly informed all the viewers the value of the cup of water.
• Knowledge of financial theory and application – I’d say that this little application gave Adam M. Smith an overwhelming lesson of financial values.

I agree. What I was referring to was his free speech rights. Sure he put his company in a bad light. He was a jerk to lay into that girl who incidentally conducted herself with grace. He showed poor judgement. He took his venting out on the wrong person. I was just wondering wasn’t he allowed to express his free speech rights? But then, words do have consequences and he found out the hard way that his did. I’m glad he got fired. He had no right to vent to that girl. What if anything could she have done? Nothing. He should have gone to corporate and done that rant at their headquarters and not at some bottom employee.

What I was referring to was his free speech rights.

He was free to speak. The government will not punish him (congress shall make no law..constitutional thing).

Being an ass, though, can get you fired.
