This has all been part of the plan for quite a while, but now Obama has to take charge and make it look like he is really doing something to make it happen.
Two years ago, Obama gave a graduation speech, in which he said that we have been throwing money at education for years and still the White students out perform the Black and Hispanic students on tests. So, he said that he was going to do something different - CHANGE things in education.
Now, flash back to Arnie Duncan and his William Ayres plan for education, making 11th and 12th grades optional and starting public school at 3 or 4 years old. Kids would still get 12 years of education, but it would start earlier and end earlier. The idea was to put the low performing, “at risk” students directly into union apprenticeships and job training programs, without finishing high school or having to take a test. (Obama doesn’t like tests, not union promotion, either)
This is where the partnership with unions, private companies (mostly in the area of health care), and the military, come in. No testing, just training, and the former “at risk” gang members are instantly transformed into working members of society, with full government benefits.
The two year apprenticeships will put the little gang bangers ahead of the students who choose to complete 12th grade and possibly a community college degree in criminology. (police and other first responder positions are high on the list of possibilities for the drop outs) . Then when they make seniority the only requirement for promotion, the White guys will give up and look for another job.
I wonder if this means he is re-introducing form of school segregation but “for the benefit of A-A students?”
