Polling had Ted up 10, but take nothing for granted.

Everyone should imagine that he is ten points behind and act accordingly.

If we can see this through today, this will be a political earthquake, definitely bigger than Lugar’s defeat...on par with the Bob Bennett removal in 2010, but bigger because it is an actual statewide election in a big state with many media markets.

Ted Cruz has a bright future. Maybe one day we can put him on SCOTUS.

Exactly. Hoping though it is a landslide. Go Ted.

I voted Cruz the first day of early voting and have a yard sign. Cruz is going to win.

Don’t forget, Texans need to get rid of Medina and elect Devine to the Texas SC. Essentially the same crowd that backs Dewhurst is backing Medina.

This is going to be a political earthquake of massive proportions.

Dewhurst is the definition of "establishment Republican" and if he loses in the Seriously Red State of Texas, the establishment Republicans of Washington, D.C. had best take note.

For this household, voting for Cruz is a no brainer. Dewhurst, who may not be too bad overall, seems to have run a terrible campaign. His TV ads make you want to vote for Cruz. I have never seen anything so counter productive. Maybe Dewhurst has known he was in bad shape since the first round of voting and has just been flailing out wildly to find something that works. I have no other explanation for the campaign. On the other hand, I will be surprised (pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless) if Cruz wins.

How about other Republican races? I have no idea who to vote for with regard to the Railroad Commission or the Supreme Court. If any of you can direct me to material that will help in this regard, I would appreciate it. I’m looking for small-government, low-tax conservatives, and so-called “social” issues are secondary.

“Texans need to get rid of Medina and elect Devine to the Texas SC. Essentially the same crowd that backs Dewhurst is backing Medina.”

That is not much of an endorsement for Devine. I favor Cruz, but I’m sure the “crown that backs Dewhurst” includes some good folks.

Got any other reasons I should vote for Devine?

Everyone I know - with the exception of one elderly lady voting Dewhissy - is voting Cruz. Three Cruz votes from this house!

Go Cruz!! Shake up Texas!

I voted for Ted Cruz this morning. I wish Ted Nugent was on the ballot.

Have met, talked to, listened to and read just about everything on both the candidates. Found no real reason to not vote for either of them. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a race where either candidate would be good. Very important position in Texas because so much of our economy comes from the oil and gas industry and experience is a plus so voted for Smitherman.

Texas, today is our day to be counted!!! I have posted previously, that if Governor, Scott Walker, Wisconsin won his “recall” battle against the Obama forces of evil, Obama would lose his re-election bid. Well......today, you good folks in the great state of Texas, the leading state in the nation, can demonstrate the power of the people by giving Ted Cruz a massive win over RINO David Dewhurst.

Just remember, fellow Texans, the whole country is watching this race today!!! And.....remember the very survival of these United States of America is at stake. if Cruz turns in a massive victory, it is another positive sign that Obama and his Democrat “dirt bag” anti-Americans will be defeated on November 6, 2012!!!

Texans, please turn out in record numbers and insure a major victory for Ted Cruz today, in the Texas Republic!!! Thank you!!! God bless the great state of Texas, God bless all Texans, and....God bless and keep America!!!

Voter enthusiasm is through the roof. The prairie is on fire! There may be more votes cast in the run-off than in the May primary. In Harris County (Houston,) 58,000 Republican votes were cast in early voting for the May primary. There are 70,000 Republican ballots cast in this run-off. Similar story in the San Antonio area. Cruz may win 60-40.
