How many innocent clay pigeons had to die for her to win her gold medal?

“How many innocent clay pigeons had to die...”
Ha!
Everyone thought they were so innocent and pure, but you forget, they still had feet of clay...
(Oooo, that was bad! I will go away and hang my head in shame...)

An amazing feat, especially since she switched to skeet after women’s doubles trap was dropped from the Olympics. Two very different games. Plus Olympic skeet is much more demanding than “American” skeet.
She shot 500-1000 targets a day, every day, for a year to hone her skills.

Save the skeets!
Preserve skeet habitat.

My mom was an Ace shot on college team..Never picked up the sport myself. BUT my son's first shots with a BB gun took the head off the rooster on the copula's weather-vane. He's discovered the sport as an adult. Shame on me for not encouraging his talent.

She was 17 or 18 when she won her first olympic gold.
I have always been a little irritated that the media ignored her accomplishments.

I have yet to find a good recipe for skeet, anyone have any? Still tastes better than coot or scoters though.

You gotta boil 'em a long, long time. Even then, they still taste kinda chalky.

Marinade in soy sauce and olive oil for 2 years. Than slow cook for 2 weeks in a cock pot.
Let me know what you think...if you live.

I think they taste kind of like chicken made from chalk.:)
I can’t stop.
Anyhow Hooray for Kim Rhodes!
BTW It probably wouldn’t hurt Romney if he would hang out with her for the day.

I hear that the President has already called to congratulate her. Here’s a rush transcript of the conversation: “You didn’t do that! You may be thinkin’ ‘I worked harder than everyone else’ but there are lots of hard workin’ Olympians out there. You didn’t do that.”

All METALS are made in China, aren’t they? They certainly can’t be made here. We’re not allowed to scar the Earff here in ‘Murica.

Commercial TV Networks in the U.S.A. have not ever reported Olympic firearms sport results, as such. Firearm proficiency as part of a combined event (i.e., triathlon) has been reported, albeit likely with a twinge of pain.

I'm disappointed they haven't made Skeet Surfing an official Olympic Sport, yet.

——All of them. Even the ones she misses still commit suicide because they don’t know how to land.
Jeb Clampet, Beverly Hillbillies guy, had a recipe for skeets, as I recall.

“attack..... brought on the most casualties in American history”
Ah, NO, not true, Pearl Harbor, civil war battles, 911, I would include the massacres enabled by Fast & Furious in that tally, among others.
The oh so sensitive author of this tripe is a twit.

I thought about that, and then as I typed from my naugahyde sofa, I also pondered how many poor innocent naughas had to die to make this sofa...and being the “evil Freeper I am”, I just laughed, and laughed, and laughed....

Heck no! My two favorite pastimes are hunting snipe and skeet. I love snipe stew with just a dash of paprika. And my all time favorite meal is lobster Thermidor au Crevette with a Mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and skeet.

I confess to having hunted skeet myself this past weekend. But I did it responsibly: I left the hens alone.
