I assume you’re giving up computers too since Apple is run by a gay guy and the Bill Gates Foundation supports liberal causes worldwide?

Time to boycott Amazon. Buy your books at a used book store or another online outlet.

Maybe I’ll switch to Linux. I still have the right to pick and choose who I patronize. Also, I don’t have an Apple computer and I haven’t seen where Bill gates gave in support of Gays.

I have had an Amazon account for years. I did give them plenty of business.

I just cancelled my account and will send out the information on this God-hating liberal far and wide.

I was just looking into buying a Kindle Fire for my wife’s birthday. I no longer am.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but Ref. 74 would repeal what the WA Legislature passed, which was same-sex marriage. So Bezos would be donating to a group that OPPOSES Ref. 74.

It is disappointing to see things like this happen, but people are foolish if they think they are doing business with companies that don’t support liberal causes. It is the feel good, public image of companies anymore.

A law was passed by Washington’s legislature to legalize same sex marriage. Then, a group gathered enough signatures to put a referendum on the ballot to vote yes or no on the law.

Yes on the law means they want it to stay.

No means they want to get rid of it.

Bezos donated to the side running ads for “Vote Yes”. So Bezos and Amazon are advocating for the recognition of same-sex marriages.

What to do to download books — any suggestions?

First, install the great program calibre on your computer. This allows you to convert ebooks with many different formats and upload them to your ebook reader.

Free ebooks:

gutenberg.org

gutenberg.ca

mobileread.com

With paid for books, the problem is digital rights management (DRM) restrictions. Many publishers now sell non-DRM ebooks that can be installed on any reader. Some of these are:

smashwords.com

baenbooks.com

feedbooks.com

More are listed here:
