My understanding is that the Antichrist will break the seven-year treaty and set himself up as god in the temple (the abomination of desolation) in the middle of those seven years.
Couldn’t the temple be built some time in the first three and a half years?
I’m not suggesting this particular political agreement is the one; just that we should be alert.
There is no way that he can be trusted or believed. His track record says something completely opposite of this current action. He can make all the treaties he wants, but doesn't in any way hold to his word, unless it suits his ulterior evil plans.
According to the book of Daniel, in The Bible, the anti Christ will ratify a covenant, that he will break in the midst of the last seven year period on earth, known as the time of Jacob's troubles. Jews in charge, at that time (which seems very eminent), will believe the anti Christ concerning a covenant, and to their dismay find out he was an evil liar. Then will ensue "the time of Jacob's troubles", a time more horrible for Jews than any time before, at the hands of this same anti Christ, that they had trusted.
Until Jews have their spiritual blinders removed, when Jesus comes back, they often lack discernment. It goes along with the territory of being temporarily spiritually blinded, proving out what The Bible says. The mass Jewish blindness, politically, can be explained by the temporary spiritual blindness, often affecting proper discernment concerning morality, and the times. This is why, as of yet, so many Jews are Democrat, which stands for and pushes for such flagrant immorality as abortion and homosexuality, not to mention a large bend towards communism, and other moral autocracies.
Thank God that very soon all of this will be resolved, and the Jewish people will once again be one with Him, taking there place as God's chosen people, as they well are, and have discernment, knowing right from wrong politically, and morally. This is not to say that there are not many good and moral Jews today. It is more to say that many just, as of yet, cannot see to have proper moral and political discernment. That will soon be taken care of.
