CHICAGO, July 26, 2012, (Operation Rescue)New documents released in the Tonya Reaves tragedy reveal a timeline leading to her death that clearly shows Planned Parenthood delayed summoning emergency care for the dying woman for five-and-a-half hours after a severely botched abortion.
At 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Reaves received a second-trimester dilation and evacuation (D&E) abortion at Planned Parenthood, located at 18 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago.
After the abortion, Reaves suffered bleeding. The bleeding continued at Planned Parenthood for five-and-a-half hours before a Fire Department ambulance finally took her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 4:30 p.m. according to a report from Steve Miller of the CBS news affiliate WBBM.

Woman has twin sister who has been asked about this case.
At this point family members are referring to attorneys since it appears a wrongful death suit may come out of this tragedy.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois
Planned Parenthood of America
Planned Parenthood of International
One reason to cite other parts of Planned Parenthood is there policies that they have in place I am sure contributed to this wrongful death...
Time to go after Planned Parenthood's deep pockets.
They were primarily interested in aborting the fetus first, at all costs.
How can any medical facility allow this happen (must not be a medical facility...)
Maybe people should go to a Vet for an abortion, and tell the Vet not to fix them (as they do for cats and dogs).
They might get better treatment than at an abortion clinic...
/sarcasm off ...
Or just in killing... Period.
Our local PP here in Pittsburgh was cited by the dept of health because patients in the “recovery” area were not be monitored by nurses & the staff did not have physician oversight. There was a brief article online from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, but (surprise!) it seems to have disappeared.
Article says the ER had to do two ultrasounds. One showed the abortion was incomplete (an Oops abortion). The other showed the uterus punctured (a double Oops abortions).
Maybe LifeSiteNews.com would be interested or LifeNews.com (Steven Ertelt) would be interested.
What was the approximate date of the article?
I’m not surprised.
Put them in the recovery room, tell them, “Some bleeding is normal. It will stop soon.” and then never go back until the “patient” asks if they can leave.
Jeez louise.... What did the doc use... a hanger?
Documents shed light on woman's death [Tonya Reaves] after abortion
On a more serious note, the NAACP and Black Congressional Caucus should be outraged at how this patient was neglected at this abortion clinic.
If they do not, they are genuine HYPOCRITES.
I don’t know why you think referencing veterinarians’ offices is sarcasm. Several states have passed laws requiring abortion facilities to be subject to regular sanitary inspections and meet the standards of veterinarians’ surgeries, but courts have overruled the laws saying they would unreasonably limit “access.”
So if you were going to have an abortion, you’d probably be safer if you could get your vet to do it for a little extra cash.
Put them in the recovery room, tell them, Some bleeding is normal. It will stop soon. and then never go back until the patient asks if they can leave.
It might have been closing time for the abortion clinic (ambulance came around 5:30pm), and this patient may have prevented from closing.
That might be a truly sad reason that the ambulance was called -- closing time, and need to get rid of our patients.
Criminal negligence, I do believe.
Abortion clinics generally get nurses who can't get jobs elsewhere and doctors who can't practice medicine except at abortion clinics (and often they have problems with their medical records).
You just can't get good medical people to kill babies...
Planned Parenthood should be called PLANNED HOMICIDE since it does murder!
From the CBS article:
<<<<<<
In a written statement this past Saturday, Planned Parenthood of Illinois chief executive officer Carole Brite said We were shocked and saddened upon learning of a tragic development at a nearby hospital. Our hearts go out to the loved ones of this patient.
While legal abortion services in the United States have a very high safety record, a tragedy such as this is devastating to loved ones and we offer our deepest sympathies. Planned Parenthood of Illinois cares deeply about the health and safety of each and every patient. We do not publicly discuss private patient matters and we follow HIPAA laws that forbid the disclosure of patient information.

A tragic development at a nearby hospital? An incomplete abortion and a perforated uterus, and yet they act as if they had nothing to do with the “development” at the nearby hospital.
Jerkwads. The only decent thing they could have said is that they would be conducting a thorough investigation to find out who was responsible and to ensure that this never happens again. But they didn’t say that.
Double murder!
She went there voluntarily.
While I agree with your sentiment that Planned parenthood needs to take it in the proverbial financial shorts for this, I cannot help but wonder what God was thinking when the woman died in the process of murdering her unborn child.
Justice maybe has been served? Why should her family profit off the woman’s choice to murder her child?
I want Planned parenthood to be sued out of existence, but they are just the tools being used by millions of women to kill their unborn. It is high time we start to also shame these women who are killing their unborn.
Why take our wrath out only on the one swinging the ax, when the axeman was hired by the deceased own mother?
An DO NOT, accuse me of being sympathetic to abortion clinics or the murderous doctors. I am the product of a rape. You will not find anyone more opposed to abortion than me. Had abortion been legal in 1956, I know I would have been aborted.
May God have mercy on the woman’s soul, because she died while being an accessory to the murder of the worst kind. A direct violation of the 6th Commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Murder”. I pray she had time to realize her mistake and ask for Christ to be her propitiation for her sin before she died. It’s real difficult to ask for forgiveness when you are dead.
An incomplete abortion?
What part of the baby’s dismembered body did they leave inside of her? His head maybe? An arm? A foot?
They'd pay off with our tax money, which incidentally, the bastard Obama wants to shovel even more of into their coffers.
The state of Mississippi has but one abortion facility in the entire state. It is located in Jackson and is operated by Planned Parenthood. The state legislature recently passed legislation that requires abortion facilities in MS to maintain the same standards for sanitation in their abortion rooms as hospitals maintain in their operating rooms. Also, any doctor performing abortions in MS must have admitting privileges at a local hospital in that same city or town. The abortion clinic at the present cannot meet either requirement. Hopefully it will have to close down and MS will be the only state in the union that does not have an abortion facility. The only thing keeping the facility in Jackson open at this time is litigation. Pray that the state wins and that other states will follow MS with legislation of their own.
Had the Chicago abortion doctor had admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, then perhaps the young lady could have been saved. There would have been no excuse to delay the trip to the hospital, and the doctor would have had to communicate to the hospital the exact condition of the patient.
Black ministers across the nation are all riled up about Obama supporting gay marriage, but they have for years turned a blind eye to abortion, and supported the party of abortion—think Democrats. How much longer will the ministers turn their back on God and watch the babies be murdered in higher percentages than any other race in our nation?
Time to shut down this killing house completely.
I had bleeding after the birth of one of my five children and when the nurse saw the bright red blood — she basically told me to get back in bed. I was then wheeled back into surgery.
Thank goodness for that nurse.
