Michael Moore said on Piers Morgan Tuesday night that the founding Fathers would have omitted the right to bear arms from the Bill of Rights if they would have known how much guns would modernize in the coming centuries.

In the days of old when knights were bold the right to keep and bear arms was limited to the nobles and their men at arms.

Besides saying someone had a right to keep swords, etc., it also meant you, as a noble, had a right to defend yourself in court.

Jews generally didn't have that right ~ their history can tell you all you need to know about what that meant@!

Under this logic they may also may have not let the army and navy be armed, given the nuclear bombs we’ve built and used that they couldn’t have forseen, because that could make it impossible for people to topple an oppressive government.

Hey Michael!

What “gift” do you claim, that we should even consider your assessment regarding what the founding fathers “really meant”?

Are you an American History major?
Perhaps you studied Constitutional Law?

The observable facts are that you HATE America, and the Constitution.
So why would anyone pay attention to you?

I fully support Michael’s right to amend the US Constitution if he can convince enough Americans to agree the 2nd Amendment is outdated. Maybe he’s even right. Maybe the founders didn’t envision powerful, modern weapons. It’s really as simple as that. The US Constitution isn’t written in stone. It’s flexible. All one has to do is convince enough people to vote to change it.

(That, of course, would take too much work for the likes of Michael and most liberals. That’s why they opt for judicial fiat.)

One of the things that I love about brain dead liberals is that they are always complaining about how outdated the US Constitution is, but none of these cowards have the audacity to try to get it amended.

Liberals know they would never get any of their stuff passed, so the US Constitution is not really outdated after all.

Hey! When did he shave? Heck, how does he find enough time in a day to shave all that real estate?

Alright, I’ll play. Since the founding fathers could never have envisioned the Internet, does that mean that the press should be limited to hand powered, moveable type printing presses?

I think the reason they used the word “Arms” is evidence that they did foresee advances in weapons. Also means they did not restrict the right to only guns. It also includes knives, swords, spears or any other personal arms.

That deserves a re-post BTTT
The only limitation on citizens to bear arms is the limitation of their pocket book.

On the other hand, ATF seems to be engaging in an Obamaguns program for illegals.

Michael who? Is he an important figure in the mess? Or is he just another fat liberal slob who was made rich and famous by the lowlife of this planet?

If I had to make a list of the most vile, and personally repugnant creatures on earth, there would be a special place for Moore.

Mikey, the founding fathers didn’t realize that there
would be citizens who would have a use for
Automatic Machine Spoons either.

Guns of today are exactly what the Founders meant the citizens of today to have. I don’t expect Michael to understand the reason for the 2nd Amendment, but suffice it to say that it wasn’t written to protect hunter’s rights. ...Think government oppression, people who will march fat Michaels off to a butter churn.

Yeah, a mechanical illiterate such as Franklin or Jefferson
would have no idea that guns would evolve.

If the Founders knew about Moore, they’d have set up a direct one-way route to North Korea for him.
