Here are campaign-released portions of the nominee-presumptives 2pm ET speech
"It is reported that Bob Gates, the Presidents first secretary of defense, bluntly addressed another security problem within this administration. After secret operational details of the bin Laden raid were given to reporters, Secretary Gates walked into the West Wing and told the Obama team to shut up. He added a colorful word for emphasis. Lives of American servicemen were at stake. But astonishingly, the administration failed to change its ways. More top-secret operations were leaked, even some involving covert action in Iran. This isnt a partisan issue; its a national security crisis... This conduct is contemptible. It betrays our national interest. It compromises our men and women in the field. And it demands a full and prompt investigation, with explanation and consequence. Whoever provided classified information to the media, seeking political advantage for the administration, must be exposed, dismissed, and punished. The time for stonewalling is over. It is not enough to say the matter is being looked into, and leave it at that. When the issue is the political use of highly sensitive national security information, it is unacceptable to say, Well report our findings after Election Day. Exactly who in the White House betrayed these secrets? Did a superior authorize it? These are things that Americans are entitled to know and they are entitled to know right now. If the President believes as he said last week that the buck stops with him, then he owes all Americans a full and prompt accounting of the facts. And let me be clear: These events make the decision we face in November all the more important. What kind of White House would reveal classified material for political gain? Ill tell you right now: Mine won't."

When Diane Fienstein says that Obama is leaking info, you know there is fire under that smoke.
Hit him again, Mitt.
keep this up Mitt! Start hitting HARD ...
Wow! He even refers to Gates using the “F” word! This sounds like a strong speech. I heard it is at 1 pm EST. Better tune in.
” - - - And let me be clear: These events make the decision we face in November all the more important. What kind of White House would reveal classified material for political gain? Ill tell you right now: Mine wont.”
Good start Mitt, but you have got to develop that “Mine won’t.” part.
“Let me be clear” catches our attention, but you have to follow up with what you propose to actually DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Draw the line in the sand!
State what you will do !
Make a clear distinction between you and Obama!
BTW, either move into winning poll territory, or stay stuck in your present coin flip loser status.

It’s one of the ironies of politics that we’re talking about 0bama’s national security leaks in an article about a Romney speech containing contents that have been ... leaked.
Great speech - it should be televised!
Somebody finally peed in Mitts wheaties lol
Great content.
Great content.
brass balls...’bout time he got a pair.. I’m McLov’n it ! Romney is finally on the attack and it continues!
I don’t think Mitt regards Obama as a “nice guy” anymore. The 0-boy is finding out rather quickly he’s not going to cruise against a weak opponent like he did against the pathetic McCain in ‘08.
I hope you’re right!

Too little. As always, too late.
And in this case, Mr. ROMNEYCARE was to the LEFT
of Diane Feintein. Previously, he was to the LEFT
of Ted Kennedy.
Thank you Mark “Dick Obama” Halperin (see my tagline).
Each Mitt speech lately has had more fire in it than Johnny “Across the Aisle” McCain himself had in his whole campaign. He’s actually hitting obama policies rather than speaking in obama-like platitudes.
Keep dumping on Dick Obama’s actions!
CSPAN is worthless. All I get is:
“Video temporarily unavailable.
Please try again later.”
its on cnn and msnbc too
He is doing really good. Are you watching?
Unlike McCain, I think Romney actually has a game plan. He is timing his attacks and is going to do so to keep 0bama off balance and reactive. There may have been some concern that 0bama was looking all presidential-like after the movie shooting, so Mitt decided to take a quick dump on him. He’s got plenty of ammo, but doesn’t want to fire it off in one salvo.
I think Mitt will land some blows here and there as necessary for up until the convention, and then really take it to 0bama. As has been stated before, unlike McCain, Romney wants to be president, not just the candidate. He’s willing to trash opponents and 0bama is a prime target. Romney will take his shots within the memory cycle of the vapid American public.
Are you watching? He is pissed
CNN is funny, they just doubled screen Romney with a poll saying Obama 53% Romney 41% on foreign affairs. lol
I’m sure he is, and should be. I’m pissed, too. But what I’m saying is if you think he’s pissed now, you ain’t seen nothing yet...
Sorry to hear that happened to you. I watched the full video with no problem at the URL I posted. If you did not get to see it, you can try again at CSPAN main page and just look for the video. It should be available the rest of the day, then within the tape archives. PS. I assume you waited till 2:05PM EST.. It started right on time.
Thanks. I was actually able to access CSPAN Radio and hear it in its entirety.
I have never been a supporter of Romney but he is articulate and it is clear that he is not going to go the McCain route to defeat. He will go down all guns blazing if beaten and you can expect this kind of attack to continue and even be stepped up.
Whack this sob again, Mitt!
Glad to hear you got through. The site might have been overloaded over a few seconds just as you originally tuned in.
Has anyone seen anything on Mitt getting a standing O and the American Embarrasment dissed?
For me the jury is still out on bin Laden’s so-called death.
Show me DNA evidence that he’s dead.
Show me a picture of his dead body.
Why in the hell would anyone believe a word that came out of the Obama White House.
If Obama opens his mouth he’s lying.
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen.
Believing ANYTHING not personally observed is tough and risky in these dark twisted times.
A lot of good lines in this speech. His speechwriters deserve a bonus. My favorite so far:
“The Presidents policies have made it harder to recover from the deepest recession in seventy years exposed the military to cuts that no one can justify compromised our national-security secrets and in dealings with other nations, given trust where it is not earned, insult where it is not deserved, and apology where it is not due.”
I especially like the line..."in dealings with other nations, given trust where it is not earned, insult where it is not deserved, and apology where it is not due.
And this is my first attaboy for Mitt on FR or in general I guess as well. I just hope the Mitt realizes once & for all, that burck huzzein 0dumb0 is commie pig marxist muzzlim RAT bastard SOB and never eases up on the sonofabitch FOR EVER. He needs to be cast into the Lake of Fire hearing forever the cries of millions of aborted babies, dead Americans because of his marxist policies and his own lies echoing in his mind.
These are not leaks...they are well orchestrated, closed door press releases. They should never be called leaks, they’re more like a faucet that is turned to full flow.
The Democrats are word masters for sure. “Leak” sounds so small and it is NOT an accurate description of the situation....
AWESOME
yeah....right....CNN...they always get it right
If I could only advise Romney???
I would tell him to quickly invite Gov Sarah Palin to the convention with keynote speech. I would tell him to pick a Tea Party, pro life Christian as his VP.
If he does not he is maybe toast
AND UpChuck Todd at MSNBC this morning, speaking of the NBC poll, said that Obama has increased his lead over Romney, but it was important to remember this....
He said the poll needs to be taken with a grain of salt (I paraphrase from memory) but he did say in exact words...it was weighted a bit heavy in favor of Dems....talk about LOL
Then he went on to talk about how well Obama was doing in the poll. he introduced a panel to talk about Obamas “good news” I turned away at that point.
Why does WSJ have anything to do with that poll? I know the answer in part is that WSJ is not really a Conservative paper outside of editorial page, but still??
If Only Rupert M was really a Conservative, then we would be in business
