Texas US Senate Debate on Texas FOX Stations
Election Day is Tuesday, July 31st
Indeed,
Vote For Cruz!
Keep The Big Mo Going Tonite Ted!
We need you in the Senate.
I already voted for Cruz.
Wow! Dewhurst is a dullard. He sounds like a typical old tired republican. No wonder Cruz is surging. Hope he wins.
2 votes for Cruz today from my household. There is a beautiful photo of him & his family going to vote on his website/FB page. I think he is one of those people who takes better candid photos than formal ones, (not that that should matter - jus’ sayin’).
I can see November from the Tracy Gee Center (early voting location on Houston’s west side)!
Dew is a BORE !
Dewhurst ran his first positive ad here in Austin.
Here is a Screen Shot of Dewhurst's speech since he deleted the original from the ltgov website.
Dewhurst sounds like a bumbling fool, a boring man who could easily be convinced that socialism is the way to go, a man who would drone on in the senate with nobody listening.
Cruz looks and sounds like a guy who wants to shake things up.
In case you’re wondering where Ted Cruz stands, he successfully argued before the Supreme Court the case, Global Tech v. SEB, where he represented a U.S. patent holder in a case defining the proper standard of intent for inducement to infringe a patent.
I’ve managed to avoid most of the TV ads, since I watch very little TV. I’ll bet Dewhurst’s negative ads continue too though.

Ted Cruz was one of the few candidates that I was excited to vote for and hopefully I'll have that chance in November as well.
Cruz just caught Dewhurst in a lie. Dewhurst said he was endorsed by the NRA. Cruz said no you weren’t. Dewhurst had to admit that he misspoke and he was not endorsed by the NRA but the local folks.
I’ve already voted for Cruz.
Texans need to vote for Devine TSC, too. Medina is an R establishment, corrupt, hack.
Yes, that’s it! Thank you!
Dew hurst must have [re[ared for the debate by listening to his commercials.
Screw Dan Patrick, by the way.
Ted Cruz could use all the help he can get down the home stretch for anyone who can donate.
Ted Cruz is endorsed by Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, Pat Toomey, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Tom Coburn and Many More
Apparently, for political reasons
he came up with this elaborate political play to kill the bill without his fingerprints, Patrick said, speaking to the drama over the anti-airport pat downs bill that failed yesterday.
When asked about how would affect his relationship with Dewhurst, he paused for a while before answering the question.
I have to ask myself, Patrick said, before trailing off again.
After another pause of several seconds seemingly to consider his words Patrick said, Weve had a good relationship. But someone who will undermine his members and someone who will not stand up to the federal government; you have to ask yourself is that the kind of person that we need in the US Senate.
I’ve already voted for Cruz but still wish some Dewhurst supporter would explain to me just how their man will be able to convince anyone of anything in Washington given his complete lack of rhetorical skills.
Dan Patrick is spouting a big “I am a Conservative” on the AM 700 Facebook page, and isn’t endorsing anyone in this race. I have found him to be an Authoritarian and a Republican, not a liberty minded Representative of his constituents.
His tax cutting hasn’t happened for property taxes.
He attempted to get tarry stop legislation passed so police can stop and demand ID at will.
The franchise tax is still in effect, so business gets an income tax.
He spouts off and blows hard, but I want LESS government, and he wants more rules.
Goodbye Mr. Patrick, I will not vote for you again.
I pray Ted Cruz wins and we get the right kind of guy in office.
Lawyers can usually do that.
Voted for Cruz today. My district is 115 and the runoff is also between state reps Dr. Steve Nguyen and Bennett Ratliff. I happened to meet them both at the polling place today. Really wanted Matt Rinaldi (a young gun Tea Party stud) to win but he placed 3rd. Had to go with Dr. Nguyen— he seemed knowledgable about Medicaid issues and we need that in Austin in the fight against ObamaCare. Ratliff has father and brother in politics too—he seemed a bit too aggressive but if he wins I will vote for him in Nov too.
LOL, and now a politician!
You are absolutely right. This is one reason why I was surprised that Patrick not only endorsed Dewhurst, but has served as his attack dog.
Patrick is my State Senator, and I have worked for his campaign in the past. His behavior in this race and the Devine/Medina race is very disappointing.
"As I have indicated before, I am not endorsing in the Senate race."
Patrick basically defended his own record, but you have to read between the lines in where he didn't defend Dewhurst. Dewhurst is still responsible for the TSA Anti-Groping Bill dying in the regular session and for assigning the no In-state Tuition for Illegals to a committee that killed it.
Dan Patrick has morphed in to the kind of thing he fought against a few years ago. Patrick has jumped the shark. Patrick has done some good things in the past but a little money and fame has turned his head in to someone akin to a John McCain. He does not think his poop stinks. Like McCAin, Patrick’s ego overrides his intellect. Sad. People will remember what Patrick did. Especially his absurd straw man surprise attack against Cruz on the radio that was only intended to gen up a sound bite that Patrick is using against Cruz in a Dewhurst advertisement where Patrick makes clear that he is in the Texas Legislature. Patrick does not own his Senate position nor does he speak for every Republucan in the legislature as he asserts in the ad. Patrick has shown that he is no longer someone Roth listening to IMHO.
>>Cruz looks and sounds like a guy who wants to shake things up.<<
Cruz caught my interest the minute I heard him say, “both parties have let us down.”
This was the first indication to me that Cruz was anti-establishment.
My early vote last evening was for Ted Cruz.
Ya know, I've had about enough of Dan Patrick as well. I've all but turned off his Mac show in the morning.
Dan, if your listening, go back to your roots. You've become on arrogant fella!
How’z your ratings by the way Dan?
Couldn't have said it better myself. Dan Patrick used to be a pretty humble guy, but man he’z really become this “my way or the highway” kinda politician.
I've found myself turning him off cause I cannot stand to hear him run all over his callers.
Exactly right. Cruz will be great on all important conservative issues except immigration. He will be a Bush on this one. Happy voting.
And like Dewhurst has been tough on illegal immigration?
Please!
The commercial with Dan Patrick yelling at Cruz really lowered my respect... for Patrick.
And I live in his district...
Yep, AM 700 WAS a station I listened to often, but now, I just listen to my MP3 Player or catch Rush on 740, or sometimes Michael Berry. I realized Patrick wasn’t interested in anyone else, just himself. His best move would be to remove himself from the airwaves, or go back to sports.
Don’t get me wrong I WILL VOTE CRUZ but he will do the Bush thing. Just sayin....
You posted that Cruz will do the Bush thing on immigration
Where in Cruz’s position on illegal immigration, Cruz ia 100% AGAINST amnesty, do you get Cruz will be like Bush?
I have known Dan Patrick (not his real name BTW) since he was painting himself blue for Houston Oiler football games when he was the weather news reader at channel 11. I was also, until recently, a regular caller to KSEV programs since the days of Kevin Price and Mike Richards but these days ALL of the on air personalities there are far too in love with the sound of their own voices and I no longer bother.
Had high hopes for the Mack show but unfortunately they have already passed on the disease to him as well it seems.
I really enjoyed Sam Malone. Wonder what happened? Did he want too much money?
They brought in Mack and for a week prior Dan kept pumping up this NEW personality.
Mack sounds like a really nice fella and all, but he is no professional talk host. I also noticed Mack keeps going on and on and on and on and on about his Seal experience.
I have a hard time listening to Mack. Dan's just gotten arrogant.
Micheal Berry show.....now there’z a pro.
Perhaps, but I know for a fact Dewhurst would do the Bush thang.
‘100% against amnesty”-I guess we will have to wait and see that means. In Houston none of the activist groups fighting against illegal immigration will actively endorse him but many will vote for him because we understand Dewhurst. In fact I stated on the air when asked by Patrick between Cruz & Dewhurst who I would choose. I responded that since Dewhurst was known to have pulled a video of his pushing for a guest-worker scheme, I would prefer Cruz.
On the other hand, Cruz has not signed our petitions for a Houston charter amendment addressing “sanctuary cities” and using E-Verify for City contracts. We had approached him about it twice. Neither will his senior campaign staff.
Three state reps and Rep. Culberson did sign on.
What am I supposed to think?
Sam refused to kowtow to Dan is what I heard.
Dan does not like anyone who overshadows him. The are keeping a VERY tight rein on Mack IMHO.
Agreed! Met Devine’s wife and one of his kids in Fort Worth this Spring. What a wonderful family: Seven kids! His wife is a South American beauty without a scintilla of snobbishness. His teenage daughter was very polite and did *not* sport revealing clothes, green hair, nose piercings, or tattoos! I also saw Medina speak in person: Wow — how uninspiring!

Devine Justice for Texas!
I found it “interesting” that Dewhurst is running banner ads for his Republican primary run-off against Cruz (and yes, they are more anti-Cruz ads) on the HuffingtonPost website.
Not a site I’d usually visit, but there was a profile of an artist formerly from Houston someone shared. Dewhurst’s ad was at the top of the page.
