The reports of the demise of FRee Republic are VERY premature!

How is freerepublic usually categorized?

Real Clear Politics is a lib site. They list articles from Huffington Post, Daily Kos, etc.. and their poll averages include polls from PPP, Project New America and Democracy Corps. They sold out a long time ago.

They’re in descending order of Alexa rankings by site traffic. That’s the topic of the thread, FR being ranked 8th.
You could always copy and paste the text and alphabetize the list yourself, you know, that old conservative self reliance thing, rather than demanding someone else do it.
To: greyfoxx39; Jim Robinson
Man, FR came in over some pretty heavy hitters. Way to go Jim!

Anyone not satisfied with the sites listed, the order of the listing or those of you who have any other complaints contact Alexa. Especially those who are posting on FR and also running down FR at "that little site that's so proud of picking up disgruntled FReepers".

demanding someone else do it.
I didn’t demand, I said, “Please.”
Besides, some of the rankings didn’t make sense. Conservative, every one? I don’t think so.
Would have made as much sense in alphabetical order IMHO.
To: greyfoxx39
The FR-bashing idiot Hannity is not even on the list. LOL. And Michelle Malkin is just amazing, with her site, HotAir.com (which she founded and sold for gazillions) and her new Twitchy.com all on the list. She is a pint-size internet giant.
To: greyfoxx39
FOX NEWS HUH, I’d say it’s an establishment talking point wiht establishment elitist types but conservative , hardly and that goes for the likes of Hannity who cannot even mention anything socially like the queer agenda or now queers are marching in freak parades in uniform

This list is ridiculous. FoxNews, WSJ, Telegraph, etc do not belong on there at all. And FreeRepublic is clearly the #1 Conservative, NON-AD SUPPORTED site in America.
To: greyfoxx39
I really love the Telegraph.
Almost anything originating in the U.S., other than FR, I really try to avoid.
To: greyfoxx39
Ludicrous to include FoxNews, NyPost, WSJ and Telegraph as “conservative” and not DrudgeReport.com, which is #78 world wide, and would be #1 on this list.
To: WestwardHo
Besides, some of the rankings didnt make sense. Conservative, every one? I dont think so. As I've stated, take it up with Alexa.
However, take a look at the SEVEN sites that are ranked above FR...
What I find telling is the AMOUNT of the traffic to these other sites.
What anyone here who wants to pick nits ought to realize is that FRee Republic is one of the big boys according to Alexa.
Congratulations, Jim and the entire FR team!

Noticed that too, BC. I only like to go there to look at the polling internals, do my own calculations and laugh at the parallel “narrative” of what the LSM wants, to sell pol ads, and the more accurate statistics of the political climate.

FOX “News” is as ‘conservative’ as Mitt Willard Romney,
author of DEATH CARE. So this is NOT about
conservatism, but about traffic.

FOX News is as conservative as Mitt Willard Romney, author of DEATH CARE. So this is NOT about conservatism, but about traffic.Of course. Are you saying this is a BAD thing? SHEESH! What a bunch of nitpickers.
I didn't choose the title, BTW and I'm damn happy to see the recognition!
BTW, I think someone should start another thread entititled "post the website you think is more conservative than FR".

The traffic ranking for
THEBLAZE is remarkable given it has been around for a relatively short time. Glenn Beck is transitioning the GBTV brand to THE
BLAZETV to leverage the success of the news website. It certainly proves that if the content and presentation are excellent, conservatives will flock to consume the product.
To: greyfoxx39
Congrats Jim for the amazing position of FR in this list. No surprise here.
A little off topic so excuse me, but I am writing today from Germany where we are visiting for a few days before heading to the Olympics.
A note to all of you, Germans we have visited have lost their feelings of admiration for Barack Obama. In fact, the overwhelming majority (some who were very supportive of him in the past) believe he is an international joke; inept and totally out of his ability to lead.
I am referring many of them to FR so they might learn the truth. If you find any German citizens joining over the next few days, please be patient and accommodating. They are just learning the benefits of true conservatism.
I will check in from time to time from London- once we are at the games. I will be cheering on the USA and of course, Israeli athletes as well.

I suppose any outlet that reports a conservative side at all is now classified as “conservative”?
Anyway, congrats Jim Thompson!

Fox?
RINO network.
Fox buys into the liberal definition.
Chris Wallace kept talking about “assault weapons”.
To: Unmarked Package
It certainly proves that if the content and presentation are excellent, conservatives will flock to consume the product. Beck is not a conservative. His goal is to line his pockets, and to elect Mitt Romney and he will mold the "product" in the most effective way to do both.
"Beck has constructed a universe where the U.S. is under siege by progressives plotting to transform the nation into a socialist orworsecommunist or fascist state. Using innuendo, chop logic, guilt by association, conspiracy theories, progressive and liberal bogeymen, and what seems a carefully cultivated image of righteous indignation, Beck presents himself as todays Paul Revere, warning the countryside that the enemy is at the gate (or, in Becks words, actually 'in the house'). In his broadcasts, Beck uses all the tools of a showman propagandist: he makes absurd comparisons, uses false analogies, tells whopping 'stretchers' (Huckleberry Finns term for statements with little regard for fact or truth), weeps on cue (YouTube footage shows him swiping Mentholatum under his eyes to induce tears), and lapses into sophomoric lampooning, mocking, ridicule, sarcasm, taunting, and joking. At times, his TV show resembles a circus side show."
