Chick-fil-A took a stand on gay marriage this weeka trend that may be due to pressure from gay right's advocates.
Pressure from gay rights advocates may have led the top official fast-food chain Chick-fil-Awhich has a location in Murrietato take a public position on same-sex marriage.
This week Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy said his privately-owned company is against gay unions.
Chad Griffin, president of the gay rights non-profit Human Rights Campaign, said in a released statement Thursday that Chick-fil-A "has finally come clean" after hiding in the closet.
Chick-fil-A is headed by a man who is proud of his companys anti-LGBT giving and has made some extremist statements concerning marriage equality. Consumers now have to decide if thats the kind of company they want to give their money to, the Human Rights Campaign statement read.
This week when the Chick-fil-A president declared his companys guilty as charged position on gay marriage, he added, Were inviting Gods judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say we know better than You as to what constitutes marriage.
Human Rights Campaign and other organizations like it have pressured top government officials and business leaders to state their positions on gay marriage and gay rights, claiming that voters and consumers have a right to know.
Human Rights Campaign currently hosts a website that includes a Buyers Guide that rates businesses and brands on equality practices. Out of a possible score of 100, Chick-fil-A received a zero from Human Rights Campaign.
Other local restaurants rated by Human Rights Campaign include Starbucks, which received a score of 95; McDonalds scored 75; Burger King scored 55; Dominos Pizza scored 35; Wendys scored 30; and Jack in the Box scored 15.
Yes, absolutely(50%) Not at all(25%) In some cases, yes (25%)
Posting this poll which just started up, because I wonder if the Rainbow Agenda's "the Public has the right to know where businesses stand on gay marriage" mantra is actually a reflection of what the public believes. Doubt it. Would like to see what the numbers become if the poll gets a lot of hits.
A zero because of their opposition to homosexual unions, yeah forget all the good works that have been done for human rights by Chick-a-fila.
Chick-fil-A and Jack in the Box will get my fast food dollars. I’ve never been to a Chick-fil-A, but will go tomorrow and take my employees with me.
So remember, kids: You're now an "extremist" if you aren't into fudge packing. Dictated by a couple of loudmouths representing less than 1.5% of the population. Remember that.
"Consumers now have to decide if thats the kind of company they want to give their money to, the Human Rights Campaign statement read."
You're damned right we do, Sparkle Plenty, and we damned well do.
If I can buy sneakers not made in China at JC Penny, I can sure as heck eat me some Chick-Fil-A chicken.
Normally being on the bottom is more painful, but I'm hoping that being on the top will be more economically painful to those companies seeking the approval of the 1-2% of America that hasn't figured out how to correctly use the equipment provided to them by The Manufacturer.
You will like it! Living far from the nearest Chick-fil-A, I sure miss their waffle fries!
"I'd like to address this to Chad Griffin, Sweetheart-in-Charge.....er, CEO of HRC."
"Your pathetic whining about Chik-fil-A is unbelievably laughable. First Amendment doesn't apply to Christians, does it, sparky? No...........one must succumb to your sick groupthink that homosexual anal sex (aka "fudgepacking") and sucking c**k are normal and wonderful, else you're an "extremist"."
"Well, pal, tell you what. You're a puny little loudmouth representing a tiny, insignificant percentage of the populace. The overwhelming majority of this country consider themselves Christian. Not only dumb, but suicidal "marketing" on your part. Take it from someone with 30 years' experience in the field."
"You just boosted Chik-fil-A's business in a huge way. Good on you. I loathe you and everything you stand for.....NOT because of your sexual preference; that is your business. No, it's because you have to attack and push your sick "agenda" onto others who do not share your twisted "beliefs", whatever the hell they are beyond taking it up the a**."
"Therefore, Chad buddy, kiss my heterosexual a** and pass the salt. I love salt on my chicken."
I’m not big on chicken burgers. But I’ll damn sure learn to like them.
Chick-fil-a and In-N-Out Burgers already own my fast food money. I stopped eating anywhere else about three years ago when the ‘pink slime’ thing started to be talked about on the Interwebz.
Well, you have been direct. ha , can’t say as I blame you.
I need that list of businesses that have the guts to stand up for the right to deplore depravity. Once I get it, you can be sure that those who support this perversion will never get another penny from me no matter what the inconvenience to me.
I held back. Trust me. I’m sicking of them controlling the dialogue. ‘Bout damned time the rest of us.....the HUGE, overwhelming majority......put these sickos in their place. They’ve had free reign for far, far too long.
You said it, brother.
Ive never been to a Chick-fil-A, but will go tomorrow and take my employees with me.”
I pick my grandson up three days a week after school and it’s off to Chic-Fil-A. Went this afternoon and he had a Peach shake as well as his usual 3 chicken fingers. They also gave us a card for a Peach shake for free on our next visit.
The only other place he wants to go is Jack in the Box. They have specials sometimes, 3 tacos for $1.00 which he likes because “they don’t have all that green stuff on them but have beans” which he calls “guy food”.
How sweet and helpful of them to give us a list! Now those 97% or more of us who are “normal” (so to speak) know where we can go and eat. #1, Chick-fil-A, #2 ... uh..... not being sure Jack in the Box learned how to cook their contaminated hamburger yet, Wendy’s. Cool. Now if I could just afford to buy fast food out ....oh, well.
Same here, because it isn’t really convienent to my location, but I will start.

Of course this is gay advocate David Badash’s take on it - he will fan the flames as hard as he can, because stirring up his constituents is his reason for being :
Chick-Fil-A, the Christian fast food giant, today announced they will leave the marriage debate a so-called exit that seems like business as usual. In a three-paragraph statement the 1600-outlet $4.5 billion chicken purveyor published to their Facebook page, Chick-Fil-A claims it will now leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena, entirely consistent with their previously-stated practices.

Chick-Fil-A has been getting pounded for statements its COO, Dan Cathy, recently made, including his now infamous, prideful acknowledgment, guilty as charged in response to questions he and Chick-Fil-A are working to stop same-sex marriage.

But no where in their statement does Chick-Fil-A say they will stop supporting anti-gay hate groups and other organizations that are actively working to deny rights to the LGBT community.
In fact, the statement promises the company will not stop devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities.
