NBC doesn’t matter, because it will never be heard in court.
1) The supreme court just did a pretzel twist to uphold ObamaCare. Do you think they will “unelect” a sitting VP? Never.
2) 98% of Americans believe natural born citizen means someone born a citizen. Neither the press or anyone else with a megaphone will do anything to change that opinion.
3) The courts refuse to even consider arguments about Obama’s NBC status.
Bottom line: the issue is moot. There is a new standard (thanks to Obama’s election): Born a citizen = natural born citizen.
We can scream and shout about it being wrong, but not a single court in the land—not one—would take up the case of Jindal not being a NBC; it would be thrown out before even getting a hearing.
The only chance to change this would be to get congress to pass a resolution defining NBC (something they could do, but won’t do anytime soon).
You’ve got to live in the world as it is. Jindal’s (or Rubino’s) NBC status would never be a problem, because no court would ever hear the case, much less find against them.
The issue is moot.
The courts refuse to even consider arguments about Obamas NBC status.
That should have been a forewarner on the Health Care Ruling.
i.e. If congress lets it happen, we will not intervene.....
It’s not moot because it’s a campaign issue, whether right or wrong.
The issue is only moot if you don’t care what the Founders intended.
If they want to play “chicken” against the people who truly love this country, then they are too stupid to lead the country back to anything even resembling the rule of law, which is what it’s going to take to bring freedom back from extinction.
Romney picks an ineligible VP and this country is toast. He better pick wisely.
