I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president, Palin told Fox News on Thursday night. She compared Rice's past experience favorably to that of Obama.
But Palin dismissed concerns over Rice's stance on the subject.
I would certainly prefer a presidential and vice presidential candidate who had that respect for all innocent precious purposeful human life, Palin said. We need to remember, though, that its not the vice president that would legislate abortion and that would be Congresss role, and well keep that in mind.

Hmmm
Well, Palin just went down a notch in my book. The VP should directly reflect the thoughts and policy of the president as far as I’m concerned.
No thanks
I don’t often disagree with anything Palin says, but on this one I must. To think that killing babies is OK, cannot be forgiven.
I agree with SP. It is *other* things that IMO “disqualify” Condi. And I wouldn’t use the word “disqualify”, because in the 0bama/Maxine Waters/Joe Biden era of political buffoonery, the very concept of “qualifications” really does not exist.
I’ve lost even my write-in candidate now.
Of course not because it has nothing to do with being 'conservative'. She is African American and by God that is what the GOP needs. To 'reach out'.
I don’t think she wants to run BUT... what if she was the vp and in 8 years she was running for prez. What would Sarah say then? I don’t think i could vote in the election if she were the vp pick. except for the congress.
In my opinion the dems are wicked but the reps are stupid.
Sarah...what?
I disagree. Also if Rice voted for Obama, why would anyone want her as a candidate?
Sorry. I refuse to even vote for a local school board candidate who isn’t pro-life. A person’s fundamental valuing of life permeates all other attitudes and decisions.
I’m like that, too. They think we’re mental cases but so be it.
I want my donation back.
That is correct. To me...the person who thinks abortion is "OK" or a woman's choice has a mental defect. I cannot understand that mindset...and if they are that corrupted in their thinking...then they are likely corrupted about other things.
Amen.
Another one bites the dust. I think Rush said something equally idiotic today.
Sarah is correct. While I disagree on the subject, I do not vote based on a single issue.
You are putting the OOOM PHASIS on the wrong SYL ABLE
What you have here is Palin simply not taking the bait to trash a former Secretary of State ~ for no good reason.
This was not, as those who know more about it have said, a Republican rumor ~ it was a Democrat rumor.
IN that light Palin's comment was pretty noncommital.
At the same time all that Romney has at stake if he picks an abortion rights supporter is the loss of the entire RTL community when it comes to campaigning on the ground, and most likely voting for the top of the ticket.
Remember, some Republicans have conspired together to make sure they are always known as 'the stupid party' and Mitt's dad was a charter member of that club ~ so there's no guessing just how stupid he can be.
I"m convinced he's a loser.
I didn’t know you had a book.
(reference to a line in the movie ‘Diner’)

Stamping ones feet accomplishes nothing. Calling the 'impure' murderers does nothing other than ensure the continuance of dead babies. Me? I want every fertilized egg to have its three score and ten. Or twenty if by way of health. |
Never put your faith in the man. Put your faith in their ideas, but never in the man. The man ( or woman in this case) will ALWAYS disappoint you.
Palin is wrong again!
She needs to stop supporting ALL females, no matter what!!!
Myth and Condi are both RINOs...
FReepers reading this thread should note that the headline to the article on The Hill is misleading and does not reflect Palin’s views accurately, as expressed in her TV interview referenced. A search of NoLibZone’s past posts will reveal a clearer image of the attitude toward Palin. It is not neutral. Here’s another excerpt from Ms. Cohn’s article:
I would certainly prefer a presidential and vice presidential candidate who had that respect for all innocent precious purposeful human life, Palin said. We need to remember, though, that its not the vice president that would legislate abortion and that would be Congresss role, and well keep that in mind.
I’m kind of surprised at the posts on this thread as if winning the White House is more important than stopping the genocide of the unborn. No thanks.
Palin does not seem to follow Yah'shua.shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiachShe seems OK with the genocide of black babies.
And some of you Freepers still adore Palin ? Best thing ( for her ) was losing in 2008 . She’s got 100 times more $ than she would have had otherwise . Maybe Condi will play fall guy with Ramney for the dough , too .
Condi supports the “Law of the sea” (LOST) treaty.
When she was running for governor she said it was up to the Supreme Court. Four years ago, as a vice-presidential candidate, she said it was up to the states. Now she says it's up to Congress.
Fact is, it isn't up to any of them. The right to life is God-given and therefore unalienable. No legislature, no executive, no court, has any legitimate power to act against the equal protection of all life. Period.
Uh...that’s the exact same excerpt that Nolibzone posted.
I wonder what she means by "purposeful" in this context.
elegant way of saying “are you freaking kidding me? Rice believes it is ok to murder babies”
You are correct. I need not have posted the quote again. Although, due to some comments posted before mine, it benefits from repetition, IMHO.
Palin’s views on Homosexuality are no better. She is just another Rino.
We are running out of leaders!
RUSH
Dick Cheney
George W
Sarah
Rick Perry
Rick Santorum
Michelle Bachmann
I think she is striving to help give profound meaning to her youngest son’s life, and others like him, even if it is a shorter, handicapped lifetime. Perhaps that’s part of what she meant.
Agree with you completely.
Agree with you completely.
>> Palin says Rice’s view on abortion shouldn’t disqualify her as VP
Hell, yes it does.
Nascent human life is killed in the most violent of ways through abortion.
Without Life, there is no Freedom to be had.
I have to laugh at that to keep from crying...
Palin’s thoughts on this should be looked at no differently then Dick Cheney’ view on Gay Marriage. In other words it makes no difference. The VP follows the lead of the President that’s all Sarah Palin is recognizing.
First Santorum says he'll stump for Romndy.
Now this from Palin.
Who's left? God save America.
“I want my donation back.”
Thanks NoLibZone.
Palin: Strike one, supporting Juan McAmnesty in his Senate primary, strike two, supporting Booby Hatch in his primary, and strike three, supporting Condi Rice, pro abortion for VP.
I was watching at the time...
Was not very flattering what she said of Rice...saying basically that she did not have respect for human life.
Was she supposed to trash her on National tv? I think she made her point.
I am dead against Condy for her statement that she is “mildly pro choice” CRAPOLA!!! This makes her unfit for office
Didn’t Romney promise a pro-life veep?
