Romney Stands by Anti-Abortion VP Pledge
politico.com ^ | 7/13/12 | ALEXANDER BURNS

There's not a ton of news coming out of Mitt Romney's interview tour on Bain Capital this evening. In an interview with ABC's Jonathan Karl, the Republican presidential candidate made this comment that would seem to deflate the latest Condi-for-VP boomlet:

KARL: I want to ask you about a report that popped up about Condoleezza Rice being near the top of your list of potential running mates. I know you’re not talking about the vice presidential search process but just tell me this: you said earlier that your running mate will be pro-life. Do you still stand by that.

ROMNEY: I don’t have anything for you on the vice presidential process. I of course stand by the things I have said during the campaign. But I have nothing for you on the VP front.

Unless Romney's pledge on abortion is permeable in a way that's not immediately obvious, or Rice has changed her views, that would seem to be the end of that.

Leftwingtards really don't know how to deal with the pro-life issue.

If romney wants to futz around deconstructing the meaning of the words "management" and "ownership" for the rest of the campaign, he won't have to do that i he picks up Condo. He'll simply lose the Conservative party base entirely.

So that eliminates Rice (as if this wasn’t a head fake anyway, for all of those follow Rove, knew this was coming.)

Very nicely said.

I believe Romney has plainly told us “severely conservative”
voters to “drop dead”. I intend to oblige him, by “playing dead” when it comes to the lever for president.

He has not so much as waved in our direction, but hopes to replace our voting block with more disenchanted liberal voters.

Romney has to move the numbers. In order to move the numbers, Romney will put whomever on his ticket. This is the question he grapples with now. Will it be conservative or liberal, to get beyond this never ending tie business.

LOL. I imagine Romney could take a Tommygun, line up every abortion practitioner from Maine to Hawaii, and blow them away Al Capone style, there would still be people who would insist, “Nothin’ but a publicity stunt.”

???

Do you sincerely believe that Romney is a bigger threat to this nation than Barack Hussein Obama? I was never on the Mitch train during the primaries - but I would vote for Jimmy Carter and his killer rabbit over the present occupant of the White House.

The “I will never vote for Romney” position from enough conservatives is exactly what President BO needs to continue savaging the constitution. Any moral victory that is achieved by not voting for Romney will be consumed by the smoke of our freedoms going down in flames.

The bottom line is that if you do not vote for Romney, you are pocket approving the worst President in American history. There is no debate on this matter.

I request that you re-eval your anti-Romney position for the sake of our nation.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he picked Jerry Brown. Romney’s liberal base would be thrilled and Brown is probably tired of trying to be governor of California.

The bottom line is that if you vote for Romney, you are voting for a liberal. Worse still, Romney is going to lose.

Why not find a candidate that you can vote for with pride?

Take your concerns to the McConnells, McCains, Grahams, Cantors, etc., and bark up their trousers. This is not my problem. It’s yours. Take it up with them. See if they give a rip who of these two socialist/Marxists get your vote.

They and you should have thought of that before cramming Romney down my throat because I am not biting.

I sure as &@!! didn’t give you your socialist nominee. They did.

Don’t talk to me about “saving yourself and the country”.
Both were lost when we come to this choice.

If it takes another four of Obama to wake fence sitters up then so be it. RESISTANCE HAS ALWAYS BEEN COSTLY.

There are a few of us the RINOS SHOULDN’T MESS WITH.

I don’t vote for pro aborts, Marxists, usurpers of religious liberty, but you can. You all go fight over the RINO bones you’re catching in the air.

A Pro-Life VP is mandatory as Romney has no credibility whatsoever on Life. Hell, the jackwagon betrayed Life.

Show us you care, Romney, and put some political ointment on that social disease of abortion. Don’t flare it up with a Pro-Abort VP.

A very short list of VP candidates was already chosen long before the race began and Santorum was in that list along with fellow RINOs. The campaign team of Mittens is trying to create some curiosity and generate some buzz among the voters, but notice that no one is bothered by the campaign's antics.

When he chooses another RINO, people will completely lose interest in the election. The only way he can generate some buzz is if he chooses Allen West or someone the Tea Party loves, but it remains to be seen if such a candidate can escape being labeled a sell out.

You are right. Rove would love to foist Santorum on us (according to the plan laid long before the primaries began) and pretend that it was a compromise to satisfy the conservative base.

I am in the same camp with you. Romney was always my last preference during the primaries. But I know how to recognize reality.

The primaries are over! Now there are only 2 choices left, Barack Hussein Obama versus Willard Mitt Romney. However some people do not know when to give up. They will keep bashing Romney which can only benefit the radical socialist from Chicago. Check my tagline.

With metaphysical certainty I know what Barack’s agenda will be for a 2nd term. With Mittens, there is a chance my taxes will not go up, regulations on small businesses will be reduced, military will not be dangerously shrunk, wealth distribution will be curtailed, and Obamacare will be reformed for real cost reductions. Like I said there is a chance these things will happen. With Obama there is no chance in hell.

-—”You dont trust him as far as you can throw him is what it sounds like to me.”

That’s what you read into his words, but he didn’t say that.

Actually, he wrote that he does NOT trust President Bork Ogabe. And that he recognizes there is a significant difference between Obutthole and Mittens.

Reading Comprehension 101 class needed on your part.

Or, the other alternative is you ARE an Obama troll here? Inquiring minds want to know...
