Posted on 07/13/2012 11:36:49 AM PDT by Free ThinkerNY
"I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president and she certainly has much more experience than our sitting president," former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) said when asked for her reaction to news that Rice is near the top of Romney's list for VP.
Palin is asked by host of "On the Record" Greta van Susteren what she thought about Rice being "moderately pro-choice."
Palin tells host of "On the Record" Greta van Susteren that she would prefer a pro-life vice presidential candidate, however she says ultimately the power to legislate abortion does not lie with the vice president.

Condi would spend months, MONTHS, explaining away Bush foreign policy.
Not a good choice.
Sara is just being polite. Rice would be a disaster. But Juan Williams likes her.
I think Sarah Palin would be a wonderful vice president.
Juan Williams is a Jug Ear Butt kisser.
I have already applied for the popcorn concession for this FR thread, I can hardly wait to see the pro-Condi and pro-Sarah people arriving, blades sharpened, armor in place, helmets firmly strapped on...LET THE GAMES BEGIN! lol
Agreed! Just being polite. A case can be made that almost anybody COULD be a good VP.
Yes she said WOULD....but it’s basically the same thing.
I’m rather excited with the prospect of Condi for veep.
Don’t understand the opposition around here to her. She would get us a win in the general.
After that, the VP is a rather powerless position.
Mary Mountain must be about to explode!
You’re a hit a run poster or else you’d know this has been posted already.
“Clean up in Aisle 7. Looks like bits of skull and cranial matter splattered all over the place.”
As someone said, it would turn Bush’s foreign policy into one of the big campaign issues.
We need the economy to be the main issue this campaign.
Romney needs to assume the conservatives are in the bag.
The battle for this election will be the middle-of-the-road folks who voted for Obama in 2008.
We must steal votes from Obama, otherwise look for 0 to squeak by with a win.
I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president, and she certainly has much more experience than our sitting president does today"
Not only is Condi pro-abortion RINO, she is not the kind of attack dog VP you need in this election.
The best at this would be of course, Palin. But that has about a snowball’s chance in hell. But if Romney wants to win this, unleashed, Palin would be devastating.
Palin would never run as VP again. She paid her dues.
She’ll either run for Prez or stay out next cycle.
Same with Gov. Christie, imo.
Sarah Palin is clearly smart enough to see that, and apparently smarter than some Freepers. Condi would NEVER be my first, second, or third choice, but Daffy Duck, Scarface, or Walter White would be preferable to Joe Biden and that insufferable oaf of a president we have now.
Yes, being polite. When you listen to the interview Sarah was following Reagan's Eleventh Commandment:
Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.
She did say in response to a question that she hoped the ticket would have two pro-life persons on it and Condi is pro-choice.
Dick Cheney is pro gay marriage, now what ?
Of course, the LameStream Media did their text search on the bill and didn't find "Death Panels."
But they're there. Sarah was right!
Pssst! Hey LSM, try searching for "Independent Payment Advisory Board."
Palin is she working on a potential cabinet slot??? Would make a GREAT cabinet member, my choice Sec. of Energy!!!!!
I see nothing wrong with what Palin said in the video.
It’s starting to get real difficult deciding who the greatetst disappointment on the “right” is these days...
Perhaps he has a change of heart
People are focusing on the wrong part of her statement. She was again inserting a subtle dig at the current POTUS.
I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president, and she certainly has much more experience than our sitting president does today".
What’s your point?
She didn’t say she was voting for Obama.
I have absolutely no problem with her keeping her personal opinions, personal.
If that’s the best yall have on her, you’re gonna have a bad time.
Get you head out of the sand, Noob
I guess you proved my point, al.
Only if the GOP is determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Pro-lifers WILL sit it out if a pro-choicer (the choice being child murder) is on the ticket.
And don-o says, "You can book it!"
Actually, I'm looking at it like it is going to be the primary redux except for it is for VP this time around.
No matter who Romney picks there will be a contingent here to post endless articles about why that person is such a bad choice.
When it's all said and done, we'll once again demonstrate why "steeping on you own dick" should be our official motto.
At leas we'll have four more years to complain about the destruction of our country under the second obama term
That is is FR is allowed to exist under a second obama term.
For the record, Romney is in no way my pick, but he's what we were dealt.
Are you an idiot or do you just play on on teh internets?
No matter who you mention, someone in this forum will call them a RINO. There’s a huge Soros-financed campaign out there to demoralize conservatives and keep them home. Just look at all the little fish who bit at this fake Condi story.
Palin has always been a RINO. Just very good at hiding it. But once in awhile just once in awhile she shows herself.
Conservatives who do not vote for Romney are not conservatives.
You either want to protect this country from Obama, or you’re complicit.
It’s all pretty simple.
I sure wish Sarah would grow a spine on this stuff, and just tell it like it is.
There is no reason at this point to be so polite and gracious; it just makes the voters more angry.
LOL Palin’s a RINO?!?!
Now I’ve seen everything on FR.
She would have been a better presidential candidate than the presumptive nominee. But we had so damned many bright people, including here, who thought better. Nice going, guys.
Sarah’s smarter than that. She knows this is a fake story so there’s no reason not to be gracious. She lives Reagan’s 11th commandment.
Sarah, I love you. I really, really do. But you are dead wrong on this one. A bit too much of a knee-jerk reaction this time by Sarah methinks.
Is the Obama-troll-scrubber broken or something? There’s this wickity-whiny sound and a smell of burnt rubber...
