We all love a great story...if he loses it is definitely because he didn’t dumb it down enough for us...lol.

....the mistake of my first term - couple of years - was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that's important. But the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times.... There is a vast difference between reciting fictional stories from a teleprompter and leadership. He is bad at the former, and is a dismal failure at the latter.

He has told a lot of stories, sad thing is that most of them are just stories.(Lies)
To: Justaham
Stories? He’s already telling fairy tales, why change anything?

I'll say it again...
...where's the story that tells us where he's going?' And I think that was a legitimate criticism.
We all know where the story is going when it starts out "Once upon a time..."

“was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that’s important.”
Translation: Once we try it the ‘right way’ then communism will be a success.
“But the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times.”
Shut up and eat your peas Mr. President. You can’t name a single instance where you even tried to give us a sense of unity, purpose, or optimism. Your entire administration has been a nightmare.

"The Story" concept is a big buzz idea in corporate communications these days.
Cheeseball consultants make a mint with their Powerpoint presentations selling businesses on the idea that their woes are due to their lack of a coherent "story."
It's all about reducing everything to a single character, emotional, simple to understand, graphics heavy tale of somebody with a problem and how your entity helped them solve it.

So of all his big mistakes this one was the biggest?
Well, he practically admitted that his first term was a failure. Romney’s campaign should take that “slip” and run with it.
In Obama’s own words: “My biggest mistake was...(fill in the blank)”.
That would a great campaign ad.

Obama: My Biggest Mistake Was Failure to 'Tell a Story'
Geez, Barry. You've been doing nothing but telling stories your whole life.
