Romney's Bain secret exposed [Another email from nobama]
email | July 12, 2012 | Stephanie

Friend --

The more everyone finds out about Mitt Romney's finances, the more questions they have. Perhaps that's why he's hiding as much as he thinks he can get away with.

Today, The Boston Globe reported that Romney was still running Bain Capital two years after he claims he left the firm, directly contradicting his campaign's denial that he was involved in deals that led to layoffs, bankruptcies, and American jobs getting shipped overseas.

It's a pattern of secrecy, and this is just the latest example of him trying to hide the truth from voters. There are a number of issues in play right now -- and voters deserve answers:

1) Mitt Romney refuses to release multiple years of taxes, ignoring decades of precedent.

2) He won't disclose his "bundlers," the people raising millions for his campaign.

3) He is the sole owner of a questionable shell corporation in Bermuda.

4) Until recently, Romney kept cash in a Swiss bank account.

5) According to the Globe, he hasn't been honest about when he was running Bain Capital, even though legal documents refute his claims.

Please forward this email and share this with everyone you know who cares about the outcome of this election.

Everyone deserves the right to judge for themselves whether Romney's motivations, experience, and perspective are what they want in a president. But Mitt Romney doesn't want people to have the information they need to make those judgments.

More to come,

Stephanie

Don't take the bait, Mitt. Keep campaigning and ignore the smear machine.

BTW - how about those missing college years?

Another article that calls BS on this: Who's the Real Outsourcer: Romney or Obama?.

Stephanie, you're behind on the count.

Two can play at this game:

1) Barack Obama refuses to release multiple birth certificates, confirming decades of deception.

2) He won't disclose his "bundlers," the people raising millions for his campaign.

3) He is the soul owner of a questionable sea shell collection in Bermuda.

4) Until recently, Obama kept Johnny Cash records in a Swiss bank vault.

5) According to just about everybody, he hasn't been honest about pretty much everything.

Predictable! I only hope Newt Gingrich is waiting behind the curtain. It’s a shame Rick Santorum decided to stay only for the purpose of splitting the conservative ticket until Romney was assumed the nominee.

Well, right now only one is playing and it's NOT Romney.

The Birthers and their concern for the US Constitution were told to sit in the back ans keep quiet by the GOP long ago.

Romney needs to focus on only 5 issues...

1. Economy & Jobs
2. Economy & Jobs
3. Economy & Jobs
4. Economy & Jobs
5. Economy & Jobs

If he does that, he will win in a landslide. If he gets distracted by the Obama machine attacks, he will lose.

I noticed some in the MSM are beginning to run away from the Bain allegations. Stephanie Cutter may be getting a job “reassignment” soon.

1. Economy & Jobs

That’s one issue you suggest he focus on.

And what if Obama cooks the books so badly and lies so well that the American people blindly vote for Obama on that one issue?

What if companies begin hiring as november gets closer because they sense that soon Obama will be voted out and Obama takes credit for the boom?

Sorry, I do not think Romney should be putting all of his eggs into one bascket.

Unless of course Romney feels that by-passing Congress is fine and dandy.

Unless Romney thinks foreign policy is not so important.

Unless Romney feels that there’s no problem spitting on the US Constitution.

The economy is a very important issue but it’s NOT the only issue.

Well, right now only one is playing and it's NOT Romney.

That is the bait that the Obama camp is using. Start a mud slinging free for all to distract for Obama's pitiful record. If Romney returns fire the MSM will say that Romney is a racist and is using negative campaigning. They are going to say that anyway, but at least by sticking to the issues he does not give them any additional ammunition.

Another reason why Newt Gingrich would have been much better.

I predict at some point, probably before the convention ie. soon, Romney will release all those tax records. As Obama Co. pick through them and bellow about this or that Romney will counter with disclosures of the likes of Pelosi, Reid, hollywood types, Soros and other big donors and their similar financial arrangements. They’ll become apoplectic but lose in the end.

So we’re supposed to be envious of Mitt Romney on account of his wealth? Sorry, liberal Dems. That dog don’t hunt. The purveyors of class envy are more worried about what Mitt Romney does with his own money than the federal government does with ours.

Another reason why Newt Gingrich would have been much better.

Gingrich was my initial pick and I still think he has the historical prospective and the knowledge of how things get done inside the beltway to be a valuable asset to Romney.

I then switched to Perry because he had actual experience running a large government and was experienced in the oil industry and I think energy is our ticket out of this mess we are in.

At this point we only have two choices and I think Romney should stick to the issues and let the superpacs and other surrogates expose Obama's incompetence and corruption.

I think energy is our ticket out of this mess we are in. I do too.

I think nov 2006 was the start of a lot of our problems. The dems were using the mantra that a 4.7% unemployment rate under Bush was the worst economy since Hoover. They ran on raising taxes on the job creators and when they won the House and Senate in November the unemployment rate started to rise. (small businesses and corporations started to slow down on hiring).

I also remember near the end of the Bush administration when oil prices rose, gas was going up and heating oil rose so much that landlords were abandoning their tenants and entire apartment buildings because they were no longer able to afford to buy the heating oil to heat the apartment buildings. Obviously they must have stopped paying their mortgages on those buildings as well.

Heating oil was so high here in the northeast that homeowners including the elderly were forced to take out loans from the banks to pay for the oil to heat their homes.

Just as you say... I think this was indeed the point where the downfall started. Energy.

Almost every one knows someone who can’t find jobs. Two young college graduates are working part time as filing clerks in a medical office we go to since they can’t find jobs. This issue of jobs/economy polls higher than any other issue in every poll. Key to winning in November is to focus like a laser beam on this issue. Of course many issues matter to conservatives. But first job is to win election. Ask Sharon Angle, Christine O’Donnell, Doug Hoffman (NY-23), McCain/Palin how much power they have after losing elections.

I remember back in 2006 as it got closer to the elections small businesses and corporations started to slow down on hiring because it was becoming obvious that the democrats would likely win in November. And as the unemployment rate slowly rose even before election day the democrats credited Bush and his policies for it even though what was really happening was that companies were closing the hatches knowing that Pelosi/Reid would soon be running Congress.

What if the same thing happens in reverse? What happens if it appears that Obama will lose in November and by late august or September small businesses and corporations begin to prepare for the new administration by starting to hire. You don't think Obama will take credit for this each week of good numbers?

We must be careful that we do not put all of those eggs into one basket. Those two young college graduates may get hired by a company that assumes Obama will lose in November. Obama goes on TV and takes credit for it and the American people vote for Obama again thinking it's the only way to keep the trend going.

Voila... another 4 to 12 years of Obama. Maybe more.
