Mittens would take all the wind out of 0 bummer’s sail if he named Congressman Allen West as the VP.

With our luck it will be Huntsman or Hatch.
What if he picks Palin..... That would really get the MSM going.

Hey look, it’s another Drudge teaser!
To: arichtaxpayer
Although Romney cannot allow MSM foibles to dictate his choice, I DO think that he needs to pick a VP nominee who can pass the (silly) “Palin Test” of the sort administered by Katie Couric.
Not fair that this is the case, but I think that it is: VP must be ALREADY READY to do the “name the capital of Kreplach-i-stan” things that Palin, initially and unfairly, was asked to do.

I would LOVE for Allen West to be picked..but knowing the way Romney thinks probably that enormous prick Jon Huntsman
To: Perdogg
It would, if the thought of being Palinized didn’t terrify her.

I think she would be great but I don’t see it happening. She is better off being a governor in an otherwise liberal state where her popularity is strong.

Fortunately, Bill Clinton is constitutionally ineligible...no one ineligible to be elected President may be elected Vice President.
To: Arrowhead1952
Because Romney doesn’t like conservatives, why would he choice West.

I believe as an officer and a gentleman, Mr. West would refuse to fight an unarmed man.

It has to be one that will carve out enough of the Hispanic vote and “be historic.”
Romney spent a lot of money and time to get where he is, and wants to win. He isn’t going to pick someone that is going to mess with that.

Bottom line folks:
Obama is now sitting at 247 EV. (sure blue states)
Romney is at 180 EV. (Sure red states).
Add Ohio, NC, Indiana and Florida (73 EV) to Romney’s column that takes Romney to 253 EV.
Bottom line if Romney loses VA (13), that takes Obama to 260 EV.
And Romney cannot win VA if Goode, the constitutionalist presidential candidate remains on the ballot. He is currently polling in the 9% range and polls show he takes way more support away from Romney than Obama.
So Romney either concedes VA and probably loses the election or chooses a constitutional conservative to win those votes back from Goode.
Now if Romney chooses to concede VA, then he must win Colorado (9) and two of these three states (Nevada (6), Iowa(6), and NH (4)) to win the presidency.
If Romney somehow edges Obama out in VA he only needs to win Iowa to become President.
So if Romney is intent on fighting to win VA, who does he pick as his running mate. There is one obvious choice, don’t you think?

I would love to see it, but the Rats/MSM would be all over it “no experience" (breathlessly).... and and and he intimidated someone in Irag!!!! Lets be honest, as others have said, Obama could rise from the Grave as Hitler and get 95% of the Black vote. Hispanic is the way to go.

Not a bad choice.
The front runners were never revealed to us by the MSM, hence the usage of the word “surprise.”

Sandoval is “pro-choice” on abortion, so no sale.
Martinez would be pretty good, but Portman would be far better electorally.

I think Martinez would be a huge hey maker... the left would freak out literally.... not only a Latin(a) but a WOMAN! Where is this going to be won? Latino + Woman! I do not think Blacks would flock to Rice or West. I do not think women will either. But Martinez could move woman and hands down Latinos. I like Rubio but I may save him for next time around and I also think men are already in Mitts camp. And Martinez could deliver New Mexico one I have no belief now we could win..... I think Jeb and Marco bring in Florida regardless....

One thing for sure...We can eliminate JimRob as a potential list member...
OTOH, having JimRob as his VP would be fun to watch...Romney walking with a peculiar limp from the cattle prod he would have shoved up his nether regions to keep him focused on adherence to the former Constitution...
